| Death from the Skies in the core rules.
IN THE CORE RULES.
THE ITC CAN SUCK IT. | |

| That doesn't mean it's the same as the 'current' book. It's just advanced rules for flyers. | |

| All I want is flyer wings and their positioning to give them buffs and for them to screw with reserves. Dogfight phase I could take it leave.
Maybe then I'll have an excuse to buy more planes.

| Bonuses for flyerwings i agree with, screwing with other peoples reserves i do not. I personally hate anything that screws with my phases / rolls and so dont like doing it myself. Your penalising someone for not playing how they want to and i really dont think death from the skies will work the same way in 8th, considering the amount GW are putting in to playing how you want play.
Also in the cities of death and stronghold announcements they said they were setting / additional rules, and im pretty sure planetstrike and death from the skies will be the same. ITC can then just turn around and still say NO. Hell even core rules they change often times.

| Well, 15 for an index is not that heavy as i thought it will be.

| I agree, 15 is a pretty good price, but it still adds up if your looking to buy the starter box and a multitude of indexes. And then adding on top the price for the army codexes as they come out.....
I was really hoping the indexes would be released for free like the core rules.

Maybe then I'll have an excuse to buy more planes. Given what we have seen of detachments - you might be out of luck.... or might be sweet! We saw an all LoW detachment so we could very well see an all flyer one Did you see that flyers cant leave the table anymore?

| Getting the full-size, hardcover rulebook included in the starter set is gold! My aging eyes can no longer handle the tiny rulebook :-(
The faction books at 15 Pounds seems reasonable (although the Canadian exchange always seems to 'add a bit more'), if invalidating your entire library is ever reasonable. However, it is what it is, and my only real concern now is that when they eventually release all of the individual army books, they don't also change too many rules 'on the fly' to then invalidate these new faction books. The odd change made via free .pdf would be fine.
EDIT - really happy to see the FW equivalents coming out simultaneously.

| Excitement!!! and I only have to buy 4 of the six books (3 indexes and the big rule book) and then of course the codecies but that won't be immediate ... I would say we start seeing those before the end of the year ... Starting about September for the first (SM) and ending about May of next year with either Slannesh themed stuff or Necron before the process repeats with summer box releases then starting over with SM a new model or to each time after the first until 9th edition which probably won't happen till 2020 depending on the feedback and general tears of the players from now till then | |

Wait... do you mean I can buy all 5 indexes for 35-45 U.S.???? That would be awesome. I am assuming that is not what you mean right @Massaen ?

| Haha - no - I meant per book. I am being told that 15 pounds Uk should mean $30ish in the US and $40ish in Aus per book | |
