| I played against almost full mech IG, the poison did nothing I won the game but many of the vehicles where still on the table. (I also didnt take a lot of AT b.c i wanted to test out trueborn shredder spam with Hellions/Beasts). It also was 1k vs 1k too. | |

| To be fair lasguns need 6's against most vehicles. Just not ours. | |

| Lasguns only need a 5+ against a raider or venom...where as before they couldnt touch us. Now they can and we need 6's so i feel thats a slight nerf for poison against vehicles.
There is no reason why they couldn't just say against vehicles assume a strength of 3.

| Wyches look like the best option to charge a vehicle. 4++ in the combat phase will force the tanks to fall back taking away its effectiveness for a turn...is that right? I haven't played a single game yet. | |

A lot of guard tanks at least (not sure about others) have a rule that allows them to fall back and still fire their turret weapon. So while you limit the other weapons from firing, their main gun is usually still going strong.

| We have better AV/M (As monsters and vehicles are basically the same now) than ever before. The Dark Lance is a very solid weapon all around, and being able to move and shoot heavy weapons with infantry (albeit with -1BS) makes it viable for our warriors, Trueborn and specially Scourges.
Im predicting venomspam to not be a thing anymore since you have to place your venom 18" from the unit you are shooting at instead of 36" away to be as effective as before, and this is a risky range, as you fall within assault range of pretty much everything. It is a death sentence.
In return or close combat is better than ever, with every unit hitting on 2+, wych cult units being able to reroll 1s if a Succubus is nearby and deathstars not being a thing anymore. We also are the only codex that can remain tied up in close combat in the enemy shooting phase thanks to the no escape rule Succubus and wyches have, wich is actually huge this edition.
All in all and with a few games under my belt already, I think we actually got a lot better this edition.

| I keep hearing that but for the record the fiend of slaanesh has an automatic bubble of no-one can fall back. | |

| FYI - Fiends of slaanesh stop all units from falling back that don't have the 'fly' keyword. | |

Woe to our enemies. We'll tear them apart all the same.

| thanks for the clarification. Does the wording by chance limit their own units from falling back as well?
Not that they would want to I suppose.

| The exact wording is "Enemy units within 1" of any Fiends of Slaanesh cannot Fall Back unless they can fly." So nothing prevents them from falling back from combat only their enemies. | |

Pardon for not knowing this, but what is the cost of Fiends? Are they Elites? Fast Attack? God forbid that they're troops..
