| Numerous posts in this thread have been edited for excessive posting of rules and stats, per section 5 of the Forum Rules, IP infringement.
Please do not post the full unit costs, stats and weapon profiles for units.
Thank you, Gob.

| Apologies. I tried to use 1d4chan articles as my baseline but I was tired so I guess I didn't scramble it enough. | |

| I am actually curious about shadow specters as well. Thinking they would fit nicely with a yarnni harlequin list. | |

| Shadow spectres kept the same shadow from death. Anti vehicle weapons that get to keep shooting if they keep hitting (up to 3 hits per guy) and can deepstrike.
Irrylith just increases the range that they affect leadership at.
Oh they're also hard to hit.

Yep - 'Sucks to you for thinking we'd actually continue them in 8th.' I've emailed them a few times about corsairs, they keep saying "we might bring more rules for them in future campaign books" So sadly dont expect them for a long time sadly - Subsanity wrote:

I like them, i think they are cost effective for what they do, and i agree with Ynnari list for them, not so much for Harlequins, Harlequins needs something more like Dark Reapers or Fire Dragons, they have enough AI and close range S6. But Armor break S6 Jump units might be good for DE as well, we have Dis Cannons, Shadow Specters will the roll a bit better, more hits = more attacks = more dead things. I will get a unit and take them over Scourges i think. Also the Assault Heavy flamer... oh yeah!

| The shadow specters and reaper are the only models I have considered from FW. Im still wrecking my brains on list building with all the new options. | |

Reavers and Skyreavers are the only Corsair rules. FW said that for now they only publish rules for units that have a model.

| He has a 5++ forgot to type it and about Corsairs
https://www.forgeworld.co.uk/en-US/Eldar-Corsair-Heavy-Weapons
Baelstrike Brand isnt in the rules (I have the new book) and the upgrade for the Reaver brand isnt sold anymore and they have rules for that.
So they sale upgrades for a unit with no rules and rules for a unit with no models.
They just dont want Corsairs anymore.

I think this has not been answered yet. How about the Hornet? Is it good? Thinking about converting one from a Venom.

| They basically are 2 Dis Cannon Ravagers instead of S5 they are S6 for 140-150pts
If you advance you are -1 to hit against them, but they are Heavy weapons, thats the kicker.
But you can take any vehicle weapons listed in Index: Xenos 1, so there might be a better set up for them i havent looked to much b.c mine are with the Hornet Pulse Lasers.

| I dont think that Reapers are THAT much better than Ravagers. Heavy penalty, even more random than DLs... Naaah. Might play one for variety.
Now Tantalus is niiiice beast. Buying one too. Even though the price is ridiculous.
Spectres are nice, but they will be no1 target and they cannot take the heat. Hornets are gone. Lynx is interesting but too expensive unless going some superleet army.
Corsairs... weeeell... Skyreavers dont even need transport. 16-bloody-inches... and options... and relatively cheap. Cloud Dancers, Reavers... It was nice while it lasted. Wasp Walkers - yes please. Only the price is tad too much.
What really peaked my interest is the Phoenix. For little less than 200 the Reaper can go brooding in the corner. And its not a flyer or HA! Its a FA!!!

| Cloud Dancers are 18", t4, 4+ ld6/7 standard bikes elsewhere, armed with standard eldar bike guns and options for them + D.Lance and S.Cannon or their own dissonance cannon on each model they also come with a brace of pistols which are pretty good. a touch over 1/3rd more expensive than a base reaver before options
they have Reckless Abandon and Dancing on the Blades Edge rules(which needs to be fixed) but no boosters or anything when advancing not that they are slow or anything ...
the Hornet 18", terrible in combat, t6 and a couple of wounds more than a venom with a better save Pulse lasers are still good as a +12" and +1str disintegrator it can take all the eldar vehicle options(im interested to know if vectored engines would stack with its own hard to hit) thus giving the option to negate the heavy weapon if you are ok firing at the closest thing all the time and comes in at a half score cheaper than a ravager with the hornet pulse lasers

| Not a fan of anything TBH, and I'm expecting ITC to start limiting some of the FW ridiculousness. I just can't see anyone taking a Scorpion with a straight face. | |

| Well I will soon have battles against a friend who just spent nearly 1K pounds on FW stuff. CHSM. So I will be facing Fire Raptor, Sicaran, Hellforged Predator, Kharibdyss pod, 2 Blood Slaughterers, Achilles, Contemptor. Not in one list ofc, but he will play great majority of the list from FW. As DE I expect to struggle heavily against mech lists and FW mechs in general. They are less tough but they bite more (save for Achilles - that thing is stupidly tough).
This made me look through the Xenos list quite carefully to find some shenanigans of our own and the only thing I found I really like was the Phoenix.
