| Hello there. I've been thinking about expanding my Drukhari and making a heavily Dark Eldar themed Ynnari Army. So I made this guy: I'll use him as a Farseer (Necroseer?) but the question I want to ask is how many Drukhari are really powerful Psykers and do they suppress there powers? | |

| Glad there is someone with a similar idea. I am building a Windrider Deathseer myself. I use Dark Elf and Sylvaneth bits along with a DE bike. I am going for really spooky look. Sylvaneth Dryad head painted as a ghostly mask, torso of a Dark Elf sorceress from the Black Dragon model, spear ofc and an outstretched hand. She wont have any hands on steering but hey... she is a seer and does not fear death. :-D | |

| Fluffwise DE are still naturally psychic as a race it's just been suppressed for so long that it's atrophied to the point of near uselessness, they can affect elder psycho technology like piloting a vehicle but it strains them to do so. Though their is no reason I can think of that an occasional trueborn couldn't be born with an extra strong psychic potential though probably would never reach a farseer in terms of raw power.
The main problem with that is living long enough under vents law and actually trying to train yourself as a psycker without a soul stone and not get eaten to get enough practice to be useful

| Ok I'll float this idea what if they where a powerful Psyker before "conforming" to Drukhari society.
Say Eldar exodites home world was destroyed and the only way to survive was going to Commorragh for asylum (one way web-way trip to Commorragh). Then integratign say by... starting there own wych cult (the beast hardens after all)

| That mini looks awesome. Good job.
On the psyker, Vect quite ruthlessly kills any he finds, but its easy to believe that one or two might have been able to hide from him, perhaps by just sitting things out in their own satellite realm and sending proxies to do their work in the city.

| That's an amazing conversion. I'm planning to include a few Walocks/Farseers in my Ynnari force as well and I've found that the Mistweaver Saith from the Silver Tower Set makes for a great DE psyker base model. | |

| You can´t have him live in the dark city, but what another realm? Or web web based? Or a gone bad Corsair army? An experiment by a Kabal with a twisted form of infinity matrix to capture enemy souls to power yourself? Or maybe it is not a psyker but he uses souls to be able to act like one without being one?

| I just got another idea, what if it is a resurrected Dark Eldar that died aeons ago? Somebody who was around during the time of the fall and was brought back just recently.
They did that in the books too.

| Saying dark eldar have lost their psychic potential because they don't use the warp is like saying penguins have lost their wings because they can't fly. They both still have them, they are just used for something else. Dark eldar power from pain is likely why there are few dark eldar psychics. They're just using their "wings" for something else right now. Its only been 10k years so I doubt its a permanent evolutionary change. Once they stop sucking life force I'm sure Dark Eldar psychics will develop. Go for it it sounds awesome. | |

| Yeah I think in the fluff they have all but bred and blunted their psychic abilities to nonexistence. One of the harlequin characters talks about how easily they can see through Vect's clone because they can still use their psychic ability but the true kin cannot in the dark eldar trilogy. | |

| But the Heamonculus mentioned that the line separating the different Eldar is actually non existent. So they are all the same race. They just don't use their abilities. They suppress it up to the point They are technically no Psyker anymore. | |

| I think that EVERY Eladrith Ynneas is both psychically able, and psychically active.
Just in a very very different manner to all other Psykers in the 40K universe. Instead of manipulating the Immaterium in a manner that effects the Materium, they suck energy in a straight line from the target's soul to their own.
No bouncing in and out of the Immaterium, no touching Chaos, no going anywhere near Slaanesh.
Just energy manipulation.

That's a very interesting theory..straight simple life draining agony. But I have to ask, would this make Cronos Engines the greatest "psykers" that the Dark Eldar have? Given their ability to both drain life and gift it to others and all.

| I was under the assumption that the Dark Eldar take drugs to repress their psychic ability. So with the drugs repressing it from birth and actively stopping anyone from practicing/learning about it that they just never develop the "muscles" to really use it, so while some Dark Eldar may have a ton of psychic potential they never find out because it's never been used. But that is just my interpretation of things. Also cool Dark Eldar Farseer man it looks good

| A trait that's universal in a species shouldn't completely disappear in 10k years, particularly when the lifecycle is as long as it is in eldar. That's what? 20-30 generations at most? It makes far more sense if the ability to consume life force that dark eldar have is just a different use of the psychic potential all eldar have instead of losing one ability and gaining another in such a short time. | |

| Wouldn't it be interesting to find out that Vect is actually an incredibly capable psycher? And while outwardly he claims he kills psychers to keep slaanesh's eyes away from Commorragh, but the gate of khaine exists in the dark city, or right near it, so it's not like the deamons don't know it's there ... They just can't get in it. It could be he doesn't want competition from an equally powerful or more powerful psycher ... After all he "married" a very psychic capable princess and could easily have received training from her to hone his ability to "see" like a farseer giving him the ability to see through even the most cunning plan laid out to usurp his power ... Granted this is wishful thinking and probably doesn't fit into the fluff at all ... Though I think Lady Malys (I really want her back) would be a great start to giving Dark Eldar psychic powers ... As she has Cegorach locked or some webway god locked in her head ... | |

| She has a crystal heart in her chest.
She put it there with a sword.
She also kept the sword.
BOTH OF THESE THINGS ARE CEGORACH's. Or at least that's what the Veiled Path wants you to think.

This has ALWAYS been my interpretation of the lore, from day one of my introduction to the DE.

| Pretty nice conversion Fluff-wise, Dark Eldars don't use psychic powers mostly because of she who thirsts (and the fact that they are basically living in the webway) and also because of Vect politics. But those are vast cities and lots of plots, on can easily imagine some psykers joning a DE detachment, as some hidden specialist =) | |

| Aren't there rumors about Vect having an illegal Warp Portal in his basement after all (dunno where i read that) ? Just because it's illegal doesn't mean you can't do it (or does it ?) ! You're Dark Eldar after all ! Also, impressive model there | |
