Meanwhile, without an updated codex, my birb list continues to ravage tables unabated and GW is losing sales to Guillotine Games while fluff players that refused to accept that this is an actual strategy are losing their minds as a result.
I'm so cozy right now.
Until GW inevitably nerfs the Razorwings and you're left having spent hundreds more dollars on a game you hate. Great work!
Perhaps I'm being too optimistic but my assumption is that the relatively simple rules in the indexes will be fleshed out and generally made a lot more interesting once the actual codices release. Considering so many "special" rules are just a bunch of rerolls lately I sure hope so. Maybe they'll even give Drazhar his old ability to teleport around a melee like Nightcrawler back or make Lelith's A League Apart ability worth spending points on again.
If GW can give us rules about gaining rerolls for having a moustache surely they can give Lelith the potential to single-handedly butcher a whole squad of fire warriors in a single round of combat again.

Shh, TA only wants to watch the world burn, don't take that away from them. Without hissy-fitting spite, there'll be nothing left to anchor them to this dimension.
Drazhar's teleport ability would be a much welcomed change, especially with his aura being so small, it would make it a lot easier if you ran multiple Incubi units and for getting Drazhar to consolidate into more combats

While rules for Vect and Malys would be neat, I would much rather see rules for the Black Heart and the Poisoned Tongue.

I heard they're going in order of the narrative missions in the book.
I don't understand what you mean by this. Do you mean the missions in the section on narrative play in the rulebook? I don't see that they're connected to a specific faction.

He means razor wing flocks. There's entire kabals that have replaced their fleets with predatory birds for their sheer ease of production. Very competitive!
I hope the Ynarri codex has the different units and how they work as Ynarri in one book rather than you can field Kabalite warriors but you need the Drukhari codex to field them, and you have to swap this rule for that rule. It's the least they can do after shoving Gathering storm off on us when they knew it would be useless in 5 months.

I've "spent" nothing on this game since its come out. I've been buying bulk lots of models off people during the transition and trading or selling the piecemeal for a profit to finance everything I do in the hobby now. Hell, I traded a guy a sprue of Deathwatch marines for a brand new Rulebook. The Beastmasters I have are converted Hellions which I bought with store credit I won at an 8th edition event. GW can nerf the birds, that's fine, I'll just move on to the next gimmick. I can break the game faster than they can fix it, especially since I can more easily float from faction to faction now. And at the end of the day I'll have spent less on my birds than I did on any of my other tournament lists I've ever made, and not a cent will have gone to GW because they're all Zombicide Murder of Crowz proxies, as are everyone else's who runs this list btw, which is personally my favorite part. It destroys any semblance of balance they claim the game has while boosting sales of their competitors! Sure, it's not much, a couple hundred dollars per list maybe at most, but I'm just some guy with a bone to pick, so it's good enough for me :3
I love how you actually like breaking the game. Almost sounds like you think its a virtue. It is very Dark Eldar-y. But honestly, glad you are playing thousands of miles away. We have our share of Conscripts and Brimstones here. My 12 Razorwings is probably the most numerous flock in the whole country.
Well it's not so much that I enjoy breaking it so much as it is there's so little left in the hobby for me to enjoy *except* breaking it. The narrative for all my armies was destroyed by the new storyline, the tactical depth of the game is shallower than my first girlfriend, and the new models they're coming out with are all for other factions, mostly Chaos and Space Marines. But I enjoy tournaments, and I still have those. I like talking to the competitive players and drinking with them. I like winning. And if there's one thing I've learned it's that I operate on another wavelength than the majority of other players when it comes to the flaws in 8th edition. Since I'm one of the few people who can see sort of see the Matrix then it becomes easier to make lists that just broadside people by breaking the established formula for the game. I'm just fond of birds because they're the most flagrant and financially insidious example that lays bare multiple fundamental problems with the 8th system.
So yeah, they can nerf birds, but as long as they don't fix the problems I'll just come back with something else in a few days.
You know, a lot of us see the Matrix. We are just not as bothered with it as you are. You don't see more than us, mere mortals. Not really. We just dont care being bothered by what we see and prefer to enjoy what we have and not try to have things "our way".
You say that, but I can't tell you how many people have tried to convince me on this forum and elsewhere that the bird list would never work, that scatbikes are useless, that Magnus is good, etc.
I really really hate to sound like a certain someone about this but those of us who actually understand the game from a top-down approach are rare in this hobby.
My point is that most people do not need to understand the game from a top-down. Its not a prerequisite for neither play nor fun. My wife does not cook as well as I do, but I do really enjoy her meals.
That's very true, but other people also tend to get something else out of the hobby other than winning. As I said, I don't have my narrative or my old gameplay anymore, all I have is the competitive scene and breaking the game for fun. Without that I'm just financially entrenched in a hobby I no longer enjoy. Most other people probably didn't have a Biel-Tan army or a Sisters army they ran with their Kabal that are now collecting dust for instance.
I mean, creative license applies in that regard. If the fluff for TA's Kabal and Sisters are an original creation of his own, then we really have no place to condemn it.
Doesn't mean we can't question it though, cos I'd be interested in hearing how the two allied
I am not questioning his choices. They are his own to make. But he said he loved the official fluff. But it does not matter. It is not my intention to nitpick. Just thought it funny. Blame my asocial sense of humour.
The Sisters are prisoners, and their Sister Superior is proxied by a Beastmaster to help make sure they stay in line. Mon-keigh after all are just beasts like any other. The Sisters themselves are kept drugged up to their eyeballs on psychotropics so they believe they are still serving the Emperor, when in fact it's just the capricious whims of the Archon. The Kabal thinks it's funny so they play along. Their quarters resemble that of a convent and they're off limits to any Dark Eldar to help keep up the facade (hence the need to stay far enough away on the battlefield). Only their Canoness is kept clear-headed, as the Sisters need a commander who isn't hallucinating to keep their flamers pointed at the right targets, and it's handy to have someone the Archon can share battle plans with. Unfortunately for her, this means she has to send her Sisters into the battlefield and pretend they're still doing the Emperor's work while knowingly issuing orders from the Archon herself. Any Sister that dies or falls out of line ends up in the labs of the Haemonculi where they are turned into loyal fleshy Grotesques (hence all my Grotesqueries), so in case she gets any ideas, Canoness knows they are going to serve the Kabal one way or the other.
Or that's how it was, now they're just collecting dust since I don't have enough Sisters for a full army and can't run them with any of my Dark Eldar.

Ah I get you, sorry I perhaps took what you said to be a little more serious than you were being - my bad!
And that's a shame, cos that's some good fluff right there TA.

Let me give you aneed example why you're acting like a moody spoiled kid: I don't want to be rude, but you're an idiot.
See? I was rude. Simply stating it beforehand is not an excuse to act like an idiot. I know you think They ruined your fluff (despite the fact that the story progressed is what stories do) and that you have the urge to go rampage but don't destroy the good mood in this forum please. You wantto rant? We got a treat for that.
