| This boils down to a simple thing - are they Blood Angels or just Space Marines with Blood Angels name slapped on? A lot of players I saw on my local tournaments field Blood Angels or Dark Angels but bascially they take a SM army without using their themes, more of a mashup of what they thought was good in their codex. | |

| No proxies allowed in this league, so I assume they are going to be real ones. How will I tell? I'm guessing they should be red ? | |

| That's the gits of it I guess, most BA players complain that there is no point in using them otherwise. Thing is, if they are dedicated to BA units, they'll use Death Company etc. so heavily CC oriented guys that can take some punishment. I highly doub that tho, I think they'll be more into shooting/using Primaris Marines. | |

| He can bring anything with the "Imperium" Keyword right? Which is a choice of about 1000 units? | |

| Yeah, he can, but from what I saw, mixing too much makes them less effective, as the Imperium has a lot of effects and buffs that target only specific types of keywords (SM, IG, AdMech etc.) but in 2k games he can basically field two smaller armies with vastly different functions and/or capabilities.
You approach depends on what you are bringing to the table: Ynnari? DE? Craftworlds? Mixed? | |

| The guy I play against has a bunch of death company and assault marines. We play annihilation so he likes to put A LOT of guys in reserve and jump 9" away. If you can manage to get turn 1, not a bad idea to throw a cheap squad of kabs out to force his jump further than 9" and maybe give you another turn of shooting.
Dissies are effective against most of his units, even the vehicles and flyers. They've got these short range high damage pistols so watch out for that. | |

| Oh yeah, also they've got a lot of flamers so careful of the overwatch especially for his vehicles.
One game I was charged with 10 death company and two 5-man assault squads, deep striking of course, but a ravager with triple dissies and two raiders with dissies in a V formation with the ravager in the middle were pretty effective in repelling the charge. An effective if albeit expensive solution.
If your raiders are pretty low to the ground that helps create a region in the center of the V where you can deploy and protect infantry from charges while guaranteeing an avenue for splinter rifle fire. My understanding is that you can get within 1" of the units you are charging but not cross over the model itself. Welcome to correct me if I am wrong about that.
