| Ravager nerfed! Night Shield only againsr RANGED attacks?!
https://17890-presscdn-0-51-pagely.netdna-ssl.com/wp-content/uploads/2017/07/40K_8th_ed_Update_Index_Xenos_1_ver_1.1.pdf
Also:
Acothysts can now take a Hexrifle, Liquifier Gun or Stinger Pistol as standard. Stinger Pistol wounds on a 2+ (6+ on Vehicles). Necrotoxin now Assault D6. Ravager gets Hovering. Mortal Wounds don't destroy Shadowfields. Dodge can't be used vs Pistol if in combat. Haywire DOES cause Mortal Wounds, even if the gun doesn;t actually wound the vehicle.
Ynnari armies now MUST have one of the triumvirate as WARLORD to use units as Ynnari. Visarch now has 4++. Only the Triumvirate can use the Revenant Discipline.
Solitaire has <Masque>.
The rest is obvious stuff I don't understand why they clarified.....

| HOW DID YOU FORGET TO MENTION THE VISARCH FINALLY GOT HIS INVULN FROM THE SHIELD ON HIS ARM!?!
That 4++ is huge.
Also the Solitaire now properly belongs to a masque and can be buffed.

| Ooooh. And I looove this soooo much!
Page 215 – Sudden Death Change point 2 to read: ‘If at the end of any turn after the first battle round, one player has no models on the battlefield, the game ends immediately and their opponent automatically wins a crushing victory. When determining if a player has any units on the battlefield, do not include any units with the Flyer Battlefield Role – these units cannot operate within a combat airspace indefinitely and they cannot hold territory without ground support. Furthermore, do not include any units with the Fortification Battlefield Role unless they have a unit embarked inside – even the most formidable bastion requires a garrison if it is to pose a threat.’

| That is quite nice, and will drop the Flyer spam we've been seeing lately. | |

| Flocks were too good at 7pts each for sure. But 14pts is pretty steep.
Razorwing Jetfighter necro missiles are only d6 shots instead of a straight 6 as well

| I see no real use for Necrotoxin, so no nerf in my book.
As for other spams - I think they will get adressed lately. I wouldn't worry too much.

| Q: Can Necrons that have fled the battlefield return using Reanimation Protocols? A: No. This ability only allows models that were slain to return, not models that have fled.
Muh Necrons! | |

| So they answered that all measurements do include vertically in them. Combined with the "hover" rule, wouldn't it be nearly impossible for most things to swing at our raiders? Since you measure from the enemy models base (unless it also has hover) but you measure to the hovering vehicle's hull. Which will almost always be more than an inch away.
Though that would also mean we can't swing back at or lock in combat, any unit that can't hover (or isn't on some weird angle).
Obviously not intended but... written??
Also minor nerf to stormravens. They have to measure from their base, not hull, knocks a little range off.
Am I blind? I can't find the razorwing price nerf

| No. Still Wobbly Model Syndrome rule applies. It does not matter that you are unable to place the model within 1'' of the hull. If the Charge Distance is OK, you are there. | |

| and here it is:
https://www.warhammer-community.com/2017/07/23/updated-faqs-and-boots-on-the-groundgw-homepage-post-2/
Items of note that I've seen so far:
- razorwing flock pt cost is doubled
- use of cluster caltrops is clarified (they go off when the bikes fall back)
- every unit is assumed to have a close combat weapon in addition to other weapons (means that, for example, Grots can choose to not use their gauntlets, and just hit and their normal S)
- Acothysts have ranged weapon options
- Ravagers get hovering
- Necrons can't use reanimation protocols on models lost due to failed morale checks.
- Flyers don't count for determining whether or not you've been tabled (so, if you have no units on the board, except for flyers, then you lose)
All this, and (probably) more...

| It's not about getting there, but swinging. It's not a valid target to fight because it isn't within 1" of an enemy model. | |

It's at the end of the errata section - I guess it's because point costs are at the back of the book.

| Not true. The model IS within 1'' for all purposes. Only its not PLACED there. You can hold it there for measurement purposes as written in the rule. | |
