1000 Points Starter List

Greeting denizens of Commorragh,
With 8th edition coming out i've decided to get back into 40k after a hiatus during 7th. With this I also wanted to leave behind by Tau army and Fire Warrior gunlines in favor of the lovely BDSM space pirates that are the Dark Eldar.

As I start to collect, I wanted to shoot for a 1000 point foundation that I could build up as I grow more accustomed to the army. I am by no means a powergamer, but that doesen't mean I'm ok with losing every game either

So I present to you for critique my list

I really like the look of the Incubi and would love to keep them in any variations of this list. Any help that a more experienced Archon in improving is welcome!

Drop the extra splinter cannons on the Venoms (you free 30pts), and invest those in dissies for the ravager.

Dissies are far better at Anti infantry than the difference between 1 twin linked splinter rifle and a SC, and you have a lot of dark lance for 1000pts. In fact, against a non-vehicle army, you'll feel unprepared i think. Dissies can help for that

Don't venoms come standard with a splinter cannon and a splinter rifle? Index says I can swap the rifle for a second cannon, but not the other way arround.

Drop 1 kabalite unit by 1 (or more), the only reason to take 10 is for the dark lance, but right now you are better of to have your archon together with another unit so he does not have 16% to die when the vehicle is destroyed.

That also gives you the option to give another dark lance or 2 and/or a small squad if you are willing to lose the venom

And you are right as far as I know you have to keep at least 1 splinter cannon (I read it that way as well)
