Thoughts on 2k list for ITC tournament

Just now taking my Dark Eldar out to play for this edition. So far I have found that they play pretty much the same as they did last edition: I play keep away and try to win on objective scoring. After a few practice games last week where I really struggled, here is my list trying to maximize on the damage I can to while running away.

HQs: 1 archon with Blaster and agonizer
1 haemi with electro whip


Troops: 2x 5 Kabalite with blaster
1x 5 kabalite
2x wracks with agaonizer
elites: 1x 5 blasterborn

Tranpsorts: 4x vemon (base, I don't find the upgrade worth the points after the nerf)

Fliers:
2x razorwing jets with dissies and splinter cannon

Outrider detachment:
1 haemi with electro whip
Heavy: 1x ravager with 3 dissies
1x ravager with 3 dark lances.
1x tauntulus

Everything that can be <Coven> is for the +1 toughness.

Here's my thinking behind the list: Everything has fly to keep running away and shooting. Everything is <kabal> for ITC Obsec. Mobile and shooty. I don't necessarily like the archons in the list, but with the ITC ruling you need to be all <kabal>, <wych cult>, or <coven> to get obsec in the same formation. This really limits the army in my opinion and gives even more hamstrings to a struggling army. If I'm going to need to run away and shoot, then by god I'm going to be the best I can be at running and shooting.

Thoughts?

Update to my list. I dropped a venom and 3 units of kabalites ( 1 blaster, 2 regular), and an archon to add 2 Haemoculi with electrocorrosive whips and 2 units of wracks with agonizers. This makes the army potentially WAY more resilient. T:5 wracks, T:6 venoms, and T:8 tantulus? sounds good to me. And the Archon gives everyone LD:9 riding in the tantulus. Should make the army better at what it does.

Can you edit your original post to show what the list looks Ike now ?

I also think whether Coven or Kabal you should swap a Ravager for another Flier to get that extra CP.

I have a voidraven on the way, but for now the 2 fliers is all I have or I would think about it. I'd lose a command point to drop a ravager though so the CP would be a wash. Do you find ravagers less efficient than fliers?

I personally prefer the Fliers. They're more resilient and way, way more mobile.

They can't soak Overwatch but I just find their ability to get deep into enemy back lines well worth it.

Is it really worth being more resilient with an army that isn't designed to be resilient. Would the warriors with blasters be better for your alpha strike/ beta strike. You know what they say the best defence is a good offence. And surely the difference between t5 and t6 venoms is not that great when you have anti tank weapons shooting at them.

There's a decent amount of S5/6 shooting going around - Wave Serpent spam, lots of Storm Bolters and Assault Cannons and such in imperium, so the T6 can make a big difference. The choice is a 2+ Blaster or a T+1 bubble.

I think so. Venoms are so cheap you will almost always have more drops and you need to survive the first turn. I'm literally only paying the cost of a haemonculus for it and he's better than an archon. Plus the haemis box is a great counter to Malefic lord spam. The venoms are a bonus. The T:8 tantulus is a big deal as are T:5 wracks.

They clarified on their podcast this week that if you are all Drukhari you get obsec. The <Keyword> bit was confusing. The last I heard Nova was still going with the more restrictive interpretation.

The current FAQ only states that the detachment must be Drukhari to get Obsec
