As much as we might want this to DE, there's virtually zero chance of that being the case and my money is either on 'Nids or something from AoS.

The very end of the hook has 2 dark spots that look like an eye and mouth, which then makes the end resemble a shark... Fish people confirmed? Half-Life 3 confirmed?

Care to put a wager on that, Count? I'll even give you 2-1. (You pick two factions, I pick Dark Eldar. If it's EITHER of yours you win.)

Some things we do know, the inside curve of the hook might be a blade of some sort, you can kinda see it from the way it slopes similar to the blades on our vehicles. In contrast the spikes on the outside aren't sharp and are instead a little rounded/roughened.

Otherwise it looks very similar to Roadhog's Mako Skin Hook from Overwatch. But all metal instead of shark teeth. I will also join the party that thinks it looks just like the hook from the Wracks box

If we could see the handle, we'd be able to confirm if it's the same classic DE melee weapon handle that we all know and love. Alas...

Well most of the time doesnt the images they show in the rumor mill take up to 6 months to be reveled?

How long was the Ynnari one? Wasn't it only like 2-3?

Not really, the Elf blood bowl team was solved within a couple of days of that one being shown off and the Necromunda teases within a few weeks.
