| I am considering expanding my force by adding Covens to my army, but can't really decide what to do. I play Ynnari DE with the motiff of rebirth and regained glory and gloomy-looking sadomasochists don't really fit in this whole shebang. I consider two options:
Sylvaneth to form "nature revenants", less necromancey returned Eldar, where Dryads are wracks, Tree-Revenants etc. are Grots, Treemen make for Talos/Cronos etc.
Malignants and other undead to form full frontal undead bros, with normal vehicles exchanged for zombie dragons, ghosts/skeleton warriors in place of wracks, crypt terrors as grots etc.
What do you think would be a better choice?

| Not at all to shut you down but coven units (and mandrakes) can't be Ynari (or I might have missed an errata or something). edit : nope, errata
However in a pure DE army, I'd like to see such a force, would be a refreshing new looks.

Yeah, you did miss, now you can have a non-Ynnari detachment and you have to have one of the trio as your Warlord to make a Detachement Ynnari.

| I have decided to go with the Sylvaneth, but it begets more questions. I have already decided on some model replacements:
Wracks - Dryads (they have claws and stuff so look decently chopy and hands can be made to look poisonous and Branchwych will make for a good Acothyst especially since the scythe and the worm make for good count-as special weapons) Tree-Revenants - Grotesques (just need to swap the bases) Talos/Cronos - Treelords and Drycha, just need to think of some fun idea to make a weapon to be count-as for twin-linked Blasters and whatnot.
However, I have came into one problem: I have no idea what to do as the Haemonculus and Clawed fiends and I would like to exchange Venoms for something else, like maybe Stegadons? Any good suggestions?

| When you add in dinoasaurs all of a sudden you'll have Dark Eldar Exodites.
But I am really interested to see this take off. Maybe you can use some tyranid bio weaponry as the blasters for your fauna?

| I think I'll just add some wines and stuff to my Venoms to make them more treeish. Thanks for the Tyranid weapons idea. | |

| Very welcome Maybe to make the venoms look more organic, you could use some wraithbone pieces from eldar kits of the wings and paint to represent? | |
