Show Me Your Raiders!

I'm having a really hard time coming to a colour scheme that I 100% love on my Raiders so am looking for some inspiration on the subject. So if you would do me the honour of showing off some of your sweet rides that would be greatly appreciated or painting tips for hilighting the grooves in the hulls or making a nice consistent paint job on large panels.

Not a usual color scheme so not sure it'll help, but meh

Nothing fancy, Kabalite green and Lothern blue.
A mix of Drakenhof and Teclis blue inking on Flayed One Flesh for the sails.

I got two different color schemes United in my Army. Yellow orange for my inner circle of the Kabal.

I can see roughly 30%

Surprisingly I actually got all my study out the way to day so got to play around with an idea. This is what I've done so far, let me know what you think

Nice contrast. Simple & effective.

Maybe more highlights on darker parts but it's already pretty neat

I've been reading over how to do black hilighting (never done it). Am i right to say the best way to do it on here would be grey edge hilighting or would you go across the flat surfaces to?

It depends on the kinda of black you want to acheive (now Citadel painting app really helps sort them out, I'd recommend checking it)

Since you got yellow (warm) color, I'd recommand a cold black :
Highlight edges with Dark reaper, and 2nd highlight with fenrisian grey.

For the flat surfaces, I'd recommand testing mixes.
What works best for me is a pure black shadow, a chaos black / Dark reaper mix (2/3 black, 1/3 DR, a drop of lahmia) for the base, and same mix with 1/3 CB & 2/3 DR for surfaces exposed to light (zenithal sun).


Note that since you used yellow, you can also go for a greenish tint with our dedicated color palette (Incubi Darkness (works great mixing w. black), Kabalite Green, Sybarite Green (both great for edges)); There's a GW bundle for that but feel free to use whatever you like (I'd recommand Prince august, Fantasy game and so on).
