Quick question.

Are the tactics still viable with the Corsair update?

It seems to be the only strategy to build towards if I want to beat my regular tau foe (Riptide Wing + Farsight Bomb)

I know there's new potential filth with the shooting and moving. Just didn't know if there's any of the leadership stuff

You can give the HQ (Corsair Prince) the ability to take DE, CWE and Harlie relics. So you can take the Harlie Mask of Secretes for the Ld penalty. You can even give him Psyker for the Psychic Shriek!

So where do we find all of the most current Corsair rules?

Imperial Armour 11 - Doom of Mymeara (2nd Ed, 2015).

You cant buy in the GW store, and I have been unsuccessful finding it online. At this point, I recommend battlescribing it or waiting the 3 weeks for Forge World to deliver (depending on your area)

Still trying to wrack my head around making an army without using straight Eldar in it.

I need a cup of tea and a sit down with the books and notes.

Trying to keep it DE and Harlequins with Corsairs for flavour. (Mainly as I think I could use the Corsairs as Exodites )

Yeah, I refuse to use Eldar, and I want to even avoid Corsairs. Hopefully a DE/Harly list exclusively.

Looking at the formations to see what fits now.

What I wouldn't give for a Harlequin HQ unit. I don't even care if it's crap if it would just enable use of 'Quins in CADs and Allied detachments instead of their arbitrary and needlessly restrictive formations.

I'm thinking two units of Cast Of Players is the best way to go. You get your shadowseer, death Jester, and a troupe for when you finally close the gap. Part of me wants to buy a Raider, and just taxi the unit around for the Shadowseer until it's time for some cc. Maybe the one with -2LD bubble in a raider, and the other on foot.

fisheyes first comment is incorrect. Corsairs never have access to Telepathy. They only have access to Daemonology, because everyone does, Divination and Telekinesis. The Void Dreamer has access to Aethermancy.

Mmhm I get that. IMHO if your taking corsairs it's to fill for either harlies or DE. If your already bringing both Corsairs only offers flavor changers.

im sorry what? You mean the spiritseer who has the wrong head? ;p

I have two of the new Eldrads and thought about that but there's just way too much Ulthwe iconography on the model for me to bother trying to convert it into a Shadowseer.

It's an $80.00+shipping book that most people have had to have imported from another country, it's gorgeous, and it is written with a level of creativity that everyone wishes ALL GW books were written with. I wouldn't hold my breath on finding a used copy online. And if you do, BUY IT!
