I was going to buy another Tantalus, well i'm not now, and i dont have to finish painting mine as well, oh well....

I'm honestly really mad about no changes to reavers....

Literally compare them to Shiny Spears.. 31pts base vs 30pts base... its so stupid, Reavers should have been cut in 1/2 for CA, or gain bladevanes back and went cheaper by like 8-12pts

I have something like 50 Reavers i would LOVE to play, i've honestly converted 20 of them into Corsair Cloud Dancers due to how crap Reavers are.

Clearly, by increasing the points of the Tantalus they are encouraging variety by freeing up points for other things!

Soon your reavers will be viable again, because everything else in the codex will be nerfed to oblivion!

I don't know if people have seen it, but the WWP stratagem does in fact only affect Infantry, Bikes, and Beasts...

Pretty disappointing. I have no excuse to run Talos or Cronos now.

I'm trying to come down from my initial disappointment...

The big thing to remember is, this was never going to be about any of the remaining 11 armies that have yet to receive their codex. What would be the purpose of the codex if they provided legitimate changes in the CA.

I've never received complaints regarding the Tantalus being OP.

Regarding the stratagem...from all the wordings I have seen, I haven't seen any that specify that they have to be placed in reserves prior to the game beginning, am I missing something there?

Also, riddle me this - The succubus warlord trait is the extra 3 hits on 6's, but the archite glaive makes it so that she can never roll a 6? Does this mean it's impossible to bloody utilize her warlord trait until turn 3? I guess you could use an agonizer, but then you are sacrificing a blast pistol/the new relic for it...

Seriously, I'm still in shock over how disgusting this book is. I fully believed in GW...

But, the wording is "During the deployment phase you may use this strategem..."

That's exactly correct. The +1 WS drug doesn't negate it either

Tantalus had a flicker field in 7th.

Do you think the addition of this in 8th could justify the points increase?

Or do forgeworld simply want to stop casting it...

I guess we can infer then that the DE codex won't arrive until after late Jan/early Feb then. Still, with eleven factions to release after the Daemons codex, and keeping up a pace of two per month we should hopefully have them all out by end of June 2018.

So as mainly a quins player now (6th and 7th killed me had to swap), i dont like Webway assault for them tbh.. they dont need it, they can already charge turn 1 and are -1 to hit for almost the full army, i guess its for people that want to play a Footdar Quins army? 2 max units DS one then charge, use CP to re-roll charge dice and hope you roll 1 dice above average....

But the WL trait is really nice, i always make my 1 TM my WL due to everyone at my local hates Shadowseers.

Honestly, I feel no need to be hopeful. I've been hopeful. This chapter approved is wholly useless to us. I've tried innocent until proven guilty....now GW can prove they're going to do right by us while I fully expect them not to.
