I've never used just one. I can't tell it it's a waste of points or not.

Try it out for a few games, tell me when you have come to a decision on that

Maybe a little overkill against most units leaving you open to getting shot especially if counts as vect is going here, also worth remembering no grenades charging into cover is gonna sting.

Troops:

Are you taking 10 just to get an extra 4 poisoned shots (if you move less than 12") If so consider that for 375pts you can have 3 5 man warrior squads w/blaster in a venom w/double splintercannons

Venom blade is ok but you've said you mainly face BA so take an agoniser and make the sparkly marines cry like the girls they are (no FNP for you!)

Ok flimsy but ok (I prefer Haywire Blasters but thats because I find them more reliable)

Don't bother with necrotoxin as monosycthes wound most troops on a 2+ anyway and can be used as anti vehicle at a push

I'd ditch this YMMV it's expensive and your points would be better spent on either another razorwing or Ravagers.

My comments in red.

Going against BA you need as many AP2 and power weapons as possible to negate thier pesky FNP and a fair amount of anti-tank to take out thier annoyingly fast vehicles.

I kinda went with what I had right now. My pre-orders haven't even shipped yet. I agree with the blaster parts though. I wish they weren't so damned expensive. Near $10 US a blaster on bits service is ridiculous.

Yeah blaster availability is a problem, I've seen a couple of solutions using blast pistol/reaver blaster barrels attached to shredders/splinter rifles; Cut down Dark Lances as blasters; Cast you own from greenstuff using instamold (don't know how legal/pratical the last option is).
