| So i'm building up toward my 1750pt list and a friend of mine (crons) wants a 500 pt game sometime. Here is the list I came up with:
HQ: 85
Haemi. Power Weapon, Shattershard, Liquifier Gun-
Elite: 150
4x Grots.*Aberration
Troop: 130
10x Wracks. 2x Liquifier Gun *Acothyst
Heavy Support: 135
1x Talos. Chain Flails. ACCW. TL Heat Lance
Whadya think? I went with Heat Lance on the off hand that I need it but it can just as easily become a TL Splinter Cannon, Thus giving my Grots a Liquifier.

| Officially that's an illegal force org - you need at least two Troop selections to be legal. | |

| Right so drop the Liquifier Gun on the Haemi and split the Wracks into 2 groups of 5 using the 10pts on another Acothyst. Would that work? | |

That would be legal. On the other hand, footslogging against necrons would be suicide. By the time you are able to reach him, he would have shoot you to pieces. Do yo have any transports available right now? | |

| Acolyst is... "meh" type of upgrade, especially on his own. Ask Yourself: is +1 attack and +1 LD are worth more then additional guy (especially in small unit)? I doubt so.
I don't like ide of Grots in small since they need more points invested to make them work. Personally I would buy more Wracks. | |

| My advice would be to get some transport, you will need those sooner or later anyway.
If I was to build a 500pts army with a coven theme, it would look something like this.
HQ:
Haemonculus, Liqufier gun
Troops:
5 Wracks, Liqufire Gun
Raider
3 Wracks
Venom, 2x splinter cannons
Heavy:
Talos, chain flail
Talos, chain flail, tl Haywire blaster
That is a total of exactly 500pts
The Haywire is there if he fields a vehicle of some sort

| Well with a WWP I don't think that should be a problem. Originally the Talos was to handle vehicles. The reason I do not include Vehicles is that I do not have the models nor do I intend to buy any. Also I don't feel it's coven without Grotesques. | |
