| New video with more indepth discussion of the content of the upcoming Battle Fleet Gothic: Armada 2.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_LRiFfCQgeY Go to 2:12 for first clear look at Dark Eldar/Drukhari Craft
I haven't actually played the first edition of this game but simply being able to play as Drukhari in any game gives me enough motivation to try it.
What does everyone else think?
Note on the look of the Drukhari space ships: They look very similar to giant reaver jetbikes in space, I know we're the edgy spikey elf faction but does it really make sense for a space craft to have blade vanes on it? Will be interesting to see if slashing other ships with the blades at close range is an actual tactic in the game.

| I'll certainly check it out, looks pretty cool!
In regards to Bladevanes..maybe? They might not be practical, but the idea of a gigantic mono-scythe slicing a battleship in half is pretty damn awesome.

This is my thinking as well. Back in DoW Soulstorm the Dark Eldar were the only faction I enjoyed playing. It was also the game that introduced me to the True Kin as a whole. The thing I am most afraid is all factions playing very similar, which usually happens with a game that has so many factions.

I agree thats possible, but also more specifically I am hoping that we're not simply a recoloured version of the Craftworlders in terms of strategy and a weapons. Sure we will be similar in the sense our craft will focus on speed to avoid attacks rather than be tough and slow but I hope the differences are deeper than that. There is a really good opportunity to have some of the more esoteric Dark Eldar weaponry displayed in a video game for once. I think it would be awesome if we could have maybe a single use superweapon like a black hole generator or something also we should have tools at our disposal characteristic of our 'not playing fair' strategy lots of strange attacks that undermine the enemy in unexpected ways. I just don't want it to be dark lance spam, recoloured eldar bright weapons.

| I've played a fair amount of the first game, it was very difficult to learn and I didnt get very far. But I will say that all the factions did feel different without being too incomprehensible.
The Eldar ships were very easily destroyed, very fast and relied mostly on torpedos and frontal beam weaponry. I found hit and run tactics to be the best way to play with them, so Im imagining that DE will play fairly similarly. what I would like to see it alot of EMP and ship disabling stuff for our ships, similar to in the lore when Vect disables a Marine ship and brings it back to commoragh. It would make for an interesting situation with disabled ships just staying there instead of being destroyed.
There were mines etc that Eldar used in the first game, so I imagine we will have similar, most likely just with a re-colour so don't get too hopefully on a entirely unique play style.

| The videgame was very similar to the boardgame in terms of game mechanics. Like Copy-Paste kinda thing. I’ll have to see if I can find the Old DE rules...

The smaller craft shown in the video are just cruisers methinks...

| I picked up the first game. It was alright. There are some mechanics that could be better vetted, but overall it was fun. | |

| Watching people who are actually good at the game is incredibly exciting to watch. Precision turns into full broadsides, followed by a strategic full ahead forward to avoid a fusilade of torpedos is cool, but when they do that for 3 or 4 ships. The Omnissah is with them. | |
