| Hello Folks,
I'm sure this has been posted somewhere on here but i cannot find it, but is anyone else playing the new battle fleet?
I'm loving it, the skirmish battles playing as Dark Eldar is like a dream come true! The campaigns are pretty good too i'm hoping they release an Aeldari campaign sometime soon.
Would be good to have some games with some fellow Denizens.

| I'm rather enjoying BFG2 so far, compared to the first game it's really nice to have all the factions represented. I've mostly been focusing on the imperial campaign just to get the swing of how the new game works, can't say I've figured out a good fleet build and strategy for Dark Eldar yet but I definetly want to.
I'd be happy to get in some games together, would be nice to make a full Dark Eldar team. My steam username is The King in the North.

| have been playing the last few days and i think they captured the hit and run feel of our faction quite well...! Drukhari ships have permastealth if they are on the move plus good speed and they hit quite hard from a long range but if anything focuses them they go down hard... You have to be constantly moving, circling around the enemy to hit them from behind where they are vulnerable. In a stand up fight they dont stand a chance against almost anything... thats about it | |

| Yeah that's the sense I got as well, it's one thing to know how they work though and another to really win battles. Lot of micromanagement, need to really be on top of moving your ships fast before they get pounded by enemy fire. Will just take some practice to really master. | |

| I've had some luck with going full frontal, flag ship, two of the slightly smaller ships then 8 escorts all with torpedoes. I used 2 or 3 of the escorts for capturing objectives and keep the rest of the fleet together. Using the disruption bomb along with dark matter cannon then all ships firing torpedoes it can be pretty devastating. I have the kin fed manned batteries keeping the ships in reload stance all the time and splinter torpedo upgrades. If the enemy splits their fleet you can wipe out half of them pretty easily doing this, trying to take out their flagship first also helps. | |

| I played the beta a lot and was consistently in the top 100 during that time. I had success with 3 obsidian rose battleships and 2 venom escorts. Using the escorts to spot and cap up objectives and keeping the battleships together and only striking when I can catch an isolated group of enemy ships.
If the enemy split up to compete on capping you use your speed and stealth to pick them apart in manageable bites and if they stay clumped be patient, cap the points and wait for them to make a mistake (like separating or losing on capture points)
I tried a variety of abilities and upgrades but I always take the dark matter ability and like the blessings of Vaul and bravery buff upgrades a lot. I'm undecided about my second ability. The stasis is great but the wraith armour is great in matchups with other eldari factions.

Sent from Topic'it App yes this set up is what i use as well and i find it really really strong as long as you stay on the move THE WHOLE TIME and micromanage alot not to get cornered somewhere cause thats gg... One big downside is that since you are using few ships if one falls to mutiny you are pretty much screwed do you have any idea how to counter this? Does the bravery buff help in any way in that department because the way i read it if you loose even one troop the buff is gone? I tend to use dark matter and stasis because they both hinder enemy movement which is crucial. From abilities i think blessing doesnt help much because you want to stay at long range i prefer the one that you dont get damaged from area effects since you are moving all over the place you kinda need it and i love the ability that gives you extra range on your flagship you can shoot from across space like a boss...

So the bravery upgrade is great. The way bravery works is to reduce morale loss as a percentage. You take morale loss from large damage in short time scales so the upgrade makes it very hard for a hard hitting enemy to cause significant moral issues. I haven't seen the numbers on vauls range as it was bugged in the beta and I haven't unlocked in the the full release game yet. But I think using only range isn't our one play. You want to kite and use range advantage to whittle the enemy but against eldari factions you can't do that so easily. That can be a time to pick a good engagement angle and stand your ground and outgun them. I'm not a fan of the range on the flagship. It doesn't improve accuracy and if I'm engaging I tend to hit hard with ALL my ships and then fade out after killing one or two ships. It's not bad imo but there are other choices I prefer.
