8th Ed Codex Competitive 2000

So here's my first attempt with the new Codex, and please bear in mind I'm tailoring it slightly to what models I have access to. Yes, this does contain a small amount of Craftworld.

EDIT: Updated list to 2000, and removed the schoolboy points mistakes!!!

This should give 9 - 11 Command Points if I take the Diabolical Soothsayer trait on the Haem (After spending 1cp to get traits on 1 Succ and 1 Haem from the Archon).

Hey dude, solid looking list so far I'd say you need to give your ravagers a weapon (they are 80 without anything equipped). I'd suggest dissi cannons.

Hi Matey, Just looked again at the codex - it definitely says the come equipped with three dark lances!! I really want to fit three in the list, but I like my rangers sniping too much. Might do another list at 2000 and see if I can make another spearhead from them.

So that means that if I replace the dark lances with dissies, it's 15 points cheaper too!

The issue is you're paying 80 points for naked ravagers. Regardless of what they come equipped with, you still have to pay that cost. So they should be 125 with dissies, or 140 with lances.

You've got the same issue with your venoms and raiders too. Venoms with double cannons are 75, raiders are 80 with dissie or 85 with lance.

Similarly your archon is not paying for his close combat weapon and the cheapest is the 2 point venom blade.

In 8th, default equipment must still be paid for.

Euggh, that's what you get for staying up and list building through blurred eyes. I'll fix it now.

I've decided to go for some wracks too, because the Black Cornucopians Strat is just too fun.

Quick question.

Can you just not take the glaive? Is it okay to just take the blaster pistol and agonizer? I thought the glaive was a must stay?

Archite glaive can only be replaced by taking witch cult weapons that replace both the glaive and agoniser. Unfortunately you can't have a succubus with agoniser and blast pistol

Yeh, I must have read it wrong - Battle Scribe has released the codex in the new data file, so I've plugged the list into that now.

There's a few other mistakes, but not so egregious as my first mistake!
