1850 Kabal / Coven vs Custodes

Hi all

Trying to plan a 1850 point list to be used against Custodes
would love any tips for playing against them, (especially there Jet bikes)

The plan is to start the game with the Grotesques bubble rapping the Tantalus and the Ravagers for early defence before they advancing up the middle of the field looking to draw fire and hopefully charge something.

The venoms will all push one flank so that the fire base of ravagers and the Tantalus can rotate to that same side and hopefully stay safe,

The Tantalus will be sniping Characters with the use of the Dark Creed Stratagem.

This is all theory as this will be my first game against Custodes...


Tips, Tricks and Advice would be Appreciated!

Poison is not your friend playing against custodes. I played them on a tournament and lined up 6 venoms within 18" to alpha strike some bikes.
I also had 3 ravagers and 2 fliers. (Black heart)
I merely killed like 3-4 bikes with ALL my shots.
His turn he charged all venoms and killed each of them. (Missplay because I thought I would kill more)
The turn after he went after the flyers and ravager. I had no screen so I lost big.
3 grotesque will not stop them at all. You need at least 6 (or 9 in 2 units to not lose some in moral) or 3-6 talos to be able to withstand their charge.
You really want to charge them to deny their reroll on charge - but it has to be something that can survive + you will get heroicly intervened all the time.
My strategy for now is: Stay away at least 24 inches turn 1 to not get auto charge next turn. Replace venoms with raiders for longer range. Have a WALL of tough units to screen your shooting ravagers. Either enough wyches or wracks or grotesques or taloses. Having 30 wyches in raiders counter charging them or 30 wracks on foot + grotesques will make them reconsider charging you turn 2. I think this should work. Your ravagers will kill them within 3 turns if they get the time for it.
