| Ravagers are up there, Razorwing Jetfighters, warriors (6 ppm makes them great for any role you want because they are sooo cheap) Mandrakes (unless you play usin the new deepstrike beta rules but still pretty good after that), Reavers, Grots | |

| Yeah it's hard to say what our "best" unit is, almost everything is so cheap and efficient for its pts now we have a lot of good options. I agree with the list PFI has though and I'd also add scourges, 12pts/m is such a steal for a flying deep striking model that has a very wide range of special weapons to choose from. | |

| All of them!
More seriously, I think we have units that are great and units that are good/situational. There almost isn't a bad choice in the Dex depending on how you play.
Even the cronos which I would consider as one of the worst had its place, and if you need its niche then it becomes not just good but almost an auto include. Choice!
Ravagers RWJF wyches and warriors get my top picks though. Perhaps archons too, if only they got transport positions they would definitely be up the top! Covens i can't say much about as I haven't played withthem and won't have the opportunity to for a while as wracked are sold out in australia

The only advice that I can give is: think what your list need to do. Don't mix up units just because you like it. Making a good list is the real challenge with this Codex. You can do A LOT of them, each one must have a precise action plan. I know that sounds clichè, but for real: don't mix up units without a purpose.

| Kabalites, Wyches, Ravagers, Transports, Scourges & RWJF are the top picks for me.
The only units that I think are still on the weaker side are Beastmasters/Beasts, Hellions, Cronos, and Court post-FAQ. Everything else is pretty solid.

| I'm seeing the RWJF on a lot of people's lists but I'm kinda curious what makes it so much better than the Voidraven now. You'd think the latter didn't exist at all by the amount people talk about it.
On topic: I'll second what everybody else has said so far (especially Ravagers and Grotesques) but I'd also like to give Wracks an honorable mention. Specifically Prophets of Flesh Wracks when they're standing near a Haemonculus. My local hobby place has so many Space Marine players that I can't not love watching them shrug off a hail of bolter shots like it was nothing due to T5 4++ and then beat them to death in melee.
Deleted the accidental post. Cheers - Cavash

| Razorwing now have 3D3 missile, and it's really cheap for whar it is. 135 with double Dissie, pure love | |

| I don't have my book to hand, wasn't it just the necrotoxin that went 3d3? If the other two missiles did, that's just a whacking great cherry on top! | |

| Just the Necrotoxin did.
As to why the RWJF over the VoidRaven....
The fighter is cheaper, with longer range and more flexibility in targets. If they changed the Bomb on the Raven to once every other turn, or a max of 4 or even 2 drops per game (Hell, 2 would make me start to consider it more...)
2 darklances and a splinter cannon on the RWJF is 10 points cheaper than the VoidRaven with Missiles, or the same price if it goes without. There are a number of small, subtle fixes for the Raven that would make it shine, and it's not a bad unit - just outclassed by the RWJF and the Ravagers.

| Grotesques are wrecking balls again.
Wracks, because they can regenerate as Prophets of Flesh and can be T5 troops.
Raiders are obnoxiously resilient for how cheap they are.
Urien Rakarth for his many buffs.
Razorwing Flocks because they're still a little expensive but an absolute pain for the opponent to deal with.

| @TA, you say Wracks regenerate with PoF. Are you referring to the strat? Have you been running units of 10 to maximize this or sticking to min sized units? | |

| I'm referring to the stratagem yes, and I run them in units of 10. | |

| I haven't fielded mine yet since the codex does a unit of 10 with prophets of flesh hold up well even without haemonculous coverage? I'm finding I want the toughness buff in several places even with two haemonculous on the ground it's going to tough to cover them when I really want them with grotesques.
The jump from T4 to T5 may mean more though than T5 to 6.
