Reapers?

So saw a post pop up about Reapers...about the same time I was looking online at them, and was wondering if they are worth taking anymore?

I mean... I understand that they are more expensive than Ravagers now, but they are quite versatile (?) and with the rule of three (sounds like some sith lord thing now) it allows you to add some more heavy shooting into your list

Im thinking of getting three.... For one to add to my collection....and for another, it would be an easy way to jump up my list from 1500 to 2000

Thoughts on the current outlook of them? lol

I saw that (mentioned I saw it actually) and I went through it, but its pretty dated (most of the discussion is from 2017) so was hoping to get a fresh view on it with the new points, and such

I just bitz ordered a Raider hull and deck to convert into a Reaper.

I've got two sets of the old, metal oop Ravager side hull armour to add around the prow, tons of vehicle bitz, and in lieu of a cylindrical cannon bit from an Imperium kit I may actually just use the shell of a pen.

I think it's a strong, versatile unit that gets passed over because it's not as accessible as a Ravager and not as points efficient, but I think if this unit were carried in GW stores or listed in the Codex you'd see more of it. While it sucks that its weapon is Heavy, the rate of fire makes up for this if you have to move, I think. I'm hoping to proxy test it soon...if it's not great, I'll save it for a Dark Creed Spearhead someday or make it a magnetized Raider/Reaper.

I'm going to try 2 Reapers plus a Ravager as my heavy hitters in a tournament in a couple weeks. They are only 10 points more than a DL Ravager, so it's not that extreme meanwhile the damage differences look pretty good.

In my testing games this week I have to say that I think the reaper is meeting than 10pts better than a ravager. They simply erase units, it’s beautiful.
