So I just got around to reading the whole SOB codex from white dwarf. I have never seen the old rules so they are all new to me |I don't know whats old or new| so I am exited. Now I hate all metal units; however I just realized how useful it is buying each model separately. In order to quench my obsession I made a 1500 point list that would cost lest then $750 Canadian |Yes I am a Canadian|.

Here is the list I would make.
HQ- Saint Cerulia the just-115

HQ- Cannoness- 105
Meltagun, meltabombs and rosarius.

Troops- Battle Sister Squad-175
Sister superior w powesword, 2 melta guns & standerd

Transport- Rino-75
Hammer of faith pattern

Troops- Battle Sister Squad-175
Sister superior w powesword, 2 melta guns & standerd

Transport- Rino-75
Hammer of faith pattern

Fast- Seraphim squad- 125
Seraphim superior w powersword & melta bombs, sister w two infernus pistol.

Heavy- 3 penitent engins- 255

Heavy- Retributor squad- 105
Sister superior w chainsword & 4 sisters w multi-meltas.

Transport- Immolator- 120
Hammer of faith pattern w multi-meltas

Heavy- Exorsist- 175
Hammer of faith pattern

What I like is the 6++ save on every unit including tanks; dont know how good it is but it sounds like fun. What are your thoughts on the sisters of battle?

Personally I think they lost alot of their power with the change to the WD dex, the old one was again... old... but it packed alota punch if you used the 4 or so good units in it. Spam sisters w/ AP1 bolters and invul saves, while packing several meltas a squad. Now their only good trick is quad melta dominion squads (I think thats what the scouting unit is called) I actually knew several SoB players that were pissed when it came out and messed up their army Razz

I think that on 1500 points sisters can be "acceptable".

Still, don't like. No 3++ power (auto 6++ is... nah), nerf of Immolators... Maybe in next edition, when both cover and vehicle would be ballanced.
Or more likely, without "count as coded flier-list".

Anyway with list...
Petient Engines should be avoided. Squadrons of them even more.
Not sure why Canoness have Melta Bombs instead of... dunno what she can take, but PW of some sort would be great.
Exorcists... no.

I think You could make decent (for sisters) 1K list from that if You trim "loose ends".

Well the Cannoness is armed with a melta gun to help her Retributor squad deal out the anti tank. I had 105 pts to spend and wanted a hero in there squad as it would give them 1+ to there act of faith rolls.

So why would you avoid Petient Engines?
