| That raider looks awesome, I would never have imagined that you could get that effect just by stippling and stabbing. Warriors look great as well, might need to give that technique a try sometime. | |

| @ESE, Been thinking about purple/green sails. Experimating(sp?) with crackling medium, will show some pictures when im happy with the result.
@Kenny, Thanks. Just started myself with the stippling-method, its a very quick way to paint and it looks good at gaming-distance.

| Realised that my warriors turned out too dark. Vallejo wash has to much colour-pigments, so works more like a watered down colour! So I had to restart from scratch again, and while Im waiting for my GW washes to arrive. I started with the Wyches. Damn, I was wrong about those figures! Thought they´re boring to paint, but so detailed and at the same time so easy to paint. Not done yet, but a PIP-picture: Still not sure about the skincolour, but Im thinking about keeping the devlan mud washed white for an alabaster(sp?)-tone. | |

| Just like your warriors, these look great with the washes.
Hard to tell about the skin, but what you describe sounds good.

| Putting this project on a lslower pace. Lost two package in the mail, so the wind just went out from me and I lost the will for this project.
But after some playtesting, I found out that I didn´t like the wyches. So Im going for Wracks instead! Don´t like the failcast wracks, therefor Im converting my wracks and wont make it in time for the tournement. Therefor a slower pace, than I intended at the start of this blog. Just reconstructed my CSM, with two new dreadnoughts instead.
Back to DE! When it comes to the Wracks Im thinking like everyone else, to use the empire flagellanst as base. Not sure what to use for an upperbody, beastmen or marauders?

Sorry to hear that Gaston. I know someone else over your way who lost a package too, hmmm. I would feel pretty bummed out too, but I hope that you get your whole DE mojo back soon. I really enjoy seeing your work.

Back to DE!
Sorry to hear about the package problems. Glad to hear that you're back at it again. Take it from a Coven player- You will love playing with Wracks! Can't wait to see your conversions. I would shy away from the Marauder torsos-too bulky.

| Teaser: Think I found a perfect "candidate" for Wrack upperbody!
Just need to sort out the lowerbody-part, and I´ll post some pictures.

| Hellions? That's a tough goal! I'd have a hard time just finishing the boards or riders, nevermind both! | |

Understod that now, it was high goal I set for the week. Specially when the family got stomach flu(right translation?), and haven´t been able to paint for 4days. So i lowered my goal and aimed to complete my 5 wyches and their Venom-ride instead. Touching up the bases right now and misplaced the gunner Picture turned out to be too bright, but better than nothing. Going for two 5 wych-squads in Venom, with the standard 1a-loadout. Venom with dual SC and haywires on the Wyches. You can see a sneakpeak of the coming hellions in the background. The blue cutting-cut is 18x23", and was found by my mom in needle/craftsshop for 100sek( ~15$).

| Wow, I really dig the rusty, beat-down, worn-out style you got going there! It departs from the usual clean, regal look of Dark Eldar and gives your guys a much more rugged, bloodthirsty and savage look. These guys look like they'll club their enemies to death with rusty shovels, I love it! | |

| Models looking great although my first thought was "Why is that Venom sitting on a pancake?". I assume the bases are lava but my screen doesn't do them justice. | |

The bases ain´t lava, it supposed to be dry stone/Sand with some dead grass. Idea was a dry planet, not desert but something with a short season of rain. I have an other projectidea where those bases will fit. Shall see if I start a projectblog about that projcet later. Aiming to complete my lanceborn with Venom this week.
