Greetings. I'm tempted to start a Drukhari force. But I think all lists look kind of the same. Archon, Warriors, Ravagers, Flyers and Talos. Are there any unique ones? Would love to see something different.

You do need a certain amount of repitition with raiders and archons to play Dark Eldar. But there are a few options for being different. A pure wych cult force is possible and quite fun to use it is even possible to go a bit left field and use it as an infantry force rather than mounted, however then you probably need to take some scourges and fliers to bring the heavy guns

Cult of Strife Spearhead
Lelith
15 wyches (3 hydras) 1A drugs PGL
3 × FW Reaper
Tantalus
That's like 1060pts, shock them with your expensive army.

Dark Creed Batallion
Haemy
Haemy
3×5 wracks
3 Venoms with grizzly trophy
506pts for this one to cause some fear

Silent Shroud Vangaurd
Shadowseer
2 death jester
1 solitaire
Trick this 315pt detachment out for maximum fear, reduce the leadership of all the hordes with your Dark Creed/Silent Shroud combo. You could make the Tantalus dark Creed for an awesome sniper unit.

Disclaimer: this list may not do very well, but it's certainly different and people will remember it when you crash your Reapers (WHY ARE THOSE RAVAGERS CHARGING?!) into them.

1884pts all in so you could get a beast master and some beasts if you really wanna be unique, BM and 6 razorwings take a it up to 1992 so you could get some wargear for your haemoncul

If you want to build a list without ravagers you could also take raiders with warriors carrying a dark lance. Is more expensive in terms of points but also provides 36" long range anti tank weapons and 24" anti infantry weapons.

Or you could also take obsidian rose warriors with blasters. Then you have 4 anti tank weapons at 24" and anti infantry at 30".

This would also be better fluff wise, as raiders are the main attack craft of any dark eldar force.

But it's not the most competetive variant.

EDIT: And for wych cult you could just buy the starter set with venom, reavers, wyches and succubus.

Unfortunately the rule of three, how detachments work and the way that our Codex has been split up really kills our list diversity in 8th. It's really quite hard to get away from something that doesn't feel like a minor variation on the same core list.

Yeah, detachments are really a pain if you want to use kabal, cult and coven. For 1k points I go for three patrols and raiding party. But for competitive play forget about that.

I thought GW was making a joke when they increased the CPs for battalions, but not for raiding party. And that just a few weeks after our codex dropped.
Nice special rule:
3xHQ + 3xTroops + 3 Detachment Slots = 4 CP
2xHQ + 3xTroops + 1 Detachment Slot = 5 CP

How does this make sense?

It doesn't and the Raiding Party rule needs a major rework - if it counted as a single detachment and granted even the same CP as a Battalion then you'd maybe see it get used. It started out dead on arrival in our Codex and then got buried even deeper after the FAQ.
