| I haven't had a game with them yet but with the exception of Supplies from Above they all look pretty good.
I appreciate players deploying their whole armies together. That should greatly speed up deployment and also give Seize the Initiative an actual purpose.
Out of interest, do you think this method of deployment will make the Poison Tongue redeployment stratagem more or less valuable?

| The grognards at my shop just play ITC missions for casual play half the time, so chances are I'll never see them. Which is fine since a solid half of them look designed to be completely unwinnable by certain armies. | |

Could you elaborate on this at all? So far, the only one that irritated me was the 'I hope you brought plenty of fliers' mission. But I've really only glanced at them so I'm curious as to what I've missed that makes half of them virtually unwinnable by certain armies.

| The one that sticks out was the one with an invulnerable save deadzone around the middle of the board where the objective is. | |

Oh. I'd missed that. So basically it's just a 'screw Dark Eldar and Daemons' mission?

| And Harlequins
And Thousand Sons
And basically anyone not wearing power armor or Eldar proper.

| I started playing PT again for fluff reasons and I think it will make it better. When you are going first, you put your whole army minus an archon on one side of the board. place archon out of sight. now if they try to hide on other side of board, you spend 2cp, move all 3 ravagers (you better have ravagers lol) to the other side with their buff-buddy and alpha something out of existence. Maybe place them so hopefully the enemy can only see a couple so fire and fade and lightning fast can extend their lives | |

| I love them, they are amazing! And I'm not afraid about the nullzone bubble at 12", it's just more tactic | |

I played Supplies From Above, and it was a lot of fun. Granted, the randomness might piss off people who are playing in a highly competitive environment. However, it's great for a casual game. First Strike is much more fair than First Blood.

For this you have to consider that for the first two turns the zone is 18" and 15", but the null zone is 12". So you don't need to be in the zone for the first two turns. Of course, some armies have an advantage here, but for casual play, this should be fine. I played the maelstrom of war "visions of victory" mission yesterday, the one where you always generate two tactical objectives and the opponent can choose which one you have to keep until you have 4. This really adds some depth to the whole tactical objective gameplay. We also used the new grapple weed forest which was also fun. And as I already mentioned in another thread, the new deployment rules are great. I think that DE benefit slightly more from them than most of the other armies.
