They can DS a good amount, lots of S3-S4 shooting (literally can have hundreds of shots) tho its all BS 4 as well. They can DS in on you 6-9" and still able to charge.
Their heroes are good, all of them are extremely useful, not all are powerful, but the are able to each do something good.
The Bikes will completely ruin anything without 4+ invuls, so stay away from them.
Aberrant are melee monsters, way stronger than out Coven in melee, dont melee these guys. Any good GSC player will put a character with them in DSing so they can get better Cult Ambush.
They always have brigades, if they are not playing a brigade they are playing for fun, so CP is easy for them to get and use.
Over all, they are one of the best armies in 40k, the single best mono codex for sure, but they are extremely paper other than a couple units. If you can catch them out in the open they will fall very quickly. They hit hard and fast, but run out of steam.
Counter their deployment and first 2 turns of movement is the best way to beat them, Target the hard hitting units first as well. For us its the fast moving units like the Bikes, dont worry about the Shotgun guys, you can move away from them.
