I have heard several people say they expect that aeldari warlock and farseer doom and jinx will only be for eldar not drukhari after big faq. Where are they getting that from and do we really expect that?

That's just people wishlisting. The only two changes that I've actually heard from rumours are a change to models with FLY charging and Castellans getting a nerf of some kind.

I could... maybe see it happening? It does make Farseers and Warlocks punch well above their weight in mixed Aeldari lists (e.g., compare how impactful a Shadowseer's powers are...) but GW haven't explicitly said anything about them seeing that as a problem.

I'd file that under the constant rumors of Alaitoc losing their -1 to be hit rule. It's all wishlisting by people who want Eldar to be weaker, because The Imperium is the only faction that should be allowed to win games. Razz

Or chaos ... As they are basically the same faction, Imperium = space Marines with smaller side factions like guard, Chaos = space Marines (evil of course), with smaller side factions s like daemons ... But as for the big faq... I don't see us getting much, if anything, out of it ... Possibly a couple point changes and a raiding party buff but no rules/equipment changes (drazhar is still training in his shrine to be even slightly effective while silently cursing the person that wrote his and his followers rules)

I'd be pleasantly surprised if we got something like a point drop for hellions and/or incubi.

We might get a point increase on Talos, though.

We'll also see if they decide to codify the previous beta rules into the main rule set (like the change to FLY), or decide to modify or drop them.

I've heard strong rumors that Ynnari will be nerfed again, but Ynnari are nerfed every release with no real effect so we'll see what happens.

I wouldn't be all that surprised if doom and craftworld powers in general are changed to working on only craftworld units. GW in general has been cracking down a bit on soup lists, and if you consider other armies like chaos space marine and daemons, their psychic powers are pretty strictly working on keyword daemon or heretic astartes, which limited the overlap just to keyword daemon CSM units. That's just a guess though, I haven't seen any rumors on that.

As far as changes for us, yeah hellions should go down to 12 I think, incubi maybe down to 14, and I'd love to see the cronos go down as well. Couple of equipment choices could go down, especially splinter cannons to 6-8ish and liquefier guns to 6. End of the day though I'd be content taking no pts changes if nothing goes up in pts.

Unlikely. We have to wait for May's White Dwarf for the new set of rules to do that.

The only thing I've heard with any certainty behind it from playtesters is that there might be changes to army building, perhaps offering more CP for mono-faction lists to conbat spam. But nothing else major.

It's annoying, sure. But there are several other subfactions that have the same rule. None of these subfactions (Alaitoc included) are showing up in the competitive top-tier (I'm not counting Ynarri armies that happen to include some Alaitoc units, or DE that include the same for psyker support).

It only really hits opponents hard if they're playing static long range gunline armies that are BS 4+. Otherwise it's an ability that only gives you an edge for a round or two, and disappears once your opponent's army has crossed over into your side of the table.

It's bonkers for flyer heavy Ynnari armies that run like 4 Crimson Hunters with -2 to hit base with -3 when they need it.

Well... there are two ways to look at it, they lose it to make them more balance, or they keep it b.c they never really forgot their old skills, they just said we will follow Yvarine.

Personally i would love them as eyou add 1 to the army and only 1 unit near gains SfD, but the Ynnari character gains the Faction Keyword and not the other way around, now only 1 SfD, and its just another detachment otherwise, its basically a unique character rules at that point.
Or give it its own codex, i dont want a supplement, i want either character with unique rules or a codex.

Well, they said right after Adepticon, but the idea is either next week or the week after, but there is the possibility that it comes out after the Ynnari WD changes b.c those rules were printed before the Big Faq and they need a FAQ already.

Doom and Jinx are gone. Only affect Craftworlds now.

Nothing big I've noticed.
Hyperstimm Backlash is once per unit per Battle Round, same with Architects of Pain. Never heard of this being abused, so it's a wash for me.

Plasma Grenades confirmed to cost nothing. Woo.

Vexator Mask confirmed not to work on the Counter-Offensive Stratagem. That probably has the biggest impact in the thing.

The rest is just clarifications on Agents of Vect, nothing seismic that I can see.

Edit: Eldar Psychic powers no longer work on DE units. It was a good run, hopefully people stop complaining about Dissie Cannons now.
