| Yeah honestly I don't mind doom and jinx only working on asuryani units, I was always a DE purist so that will means people will complain less about DE.
Also on the plus side, knight invul saves are capped at +4 now. Huge fan of that, no more +3 invul nonsense.

| Do we have anything that is treated "as if it were the shooting/ fight phase"? because now auras and the such also affect units that make an shooting attack in the movement phase for example | |

| Also Knight Castellan is 100 points more expensive now. This is good for everyone. Though I still think guardsmen should be 5 points a pop. | |

| So, I realize I'm tracking changes across 5 different docs, but it looks like there's a tiny spot of good news: while GSC may have gotten their Leadership bomb nerfed, the pointy-ear version (Mind War) has not received the same treatment.
So you can still reduce the enemy Leadership to a net gap of 6+ and kill an entire unit with no hope of salvation.

It targets a single character and you deal the difference of a single roll-off in damage. So you're not going to wipe out entire units or a 28 wound Knight, but you could absolutely nuke most infantry characters.

Mind War is, the Harlequin power Mirror of Minds isn't. Eldar: too many psychic powers.

In the new Big FAQ I only see them stating that its 100 points too cheap and that they will revise the points in their next publication of chapter approved. Did they officially change the points somewhere else?

Did they officially change the points somewhere else? They changed the points of 2 of its weapons. You can find them on p12 of this: https://www.warhammer-community.com/wp-content/uploads/2019/04/warhammer_40000_update_April_2019_en.pdf (Because putting that change in the IK FAQ would have been far too sensible. )

AFAIK the 100pts is the increased cost of the weapons.

| Okay, I just got a little confused because they put the point change into a lengthy paragraph while they put the points changes to the weapons in the standard points changing format. | |

| Anyone else feel vect isn't worth taking black heart over flayed skull anymore? (I've felt this for a while but this FAQ is encouraging me)

| I felt the transport blowing up/ wrecked the guys inside can't charge change a bit harsh. (although it makes sense theme wise.) Melee units have it tough enough in 8th ed without adding more fuel to the fire.
Did genestealer cult's Vect strat. get changed to 4 cp or is it the same?

| I never took Black heart b.c of Vect, i took it for the 6++ on my vehicles and the +1 to PFP on my Kabals, the re-roll charge and dont care about moral has helped me turns 1 and 3 and the FnP on vehicles has helped a lot, a 6+++ on ravagers i feel is a must. If i take Kabal spam, then yeah Flawed Skull would be better, with 8-10 venoms, the extra +3" and ignore cover is more needed. - drdoom222222 wrote:

Sent from Topic'it App I think in the most competitive lists you'll still see Black Heart appear. Pure Drukhari is basically going to boil down in most cases to something like Flayed Skull Battalion w/ Yvraine Black Heart Spearhead/Air Wing Prophets of Flesh Battalion/Vanguard/Spearhead

| Yeah, but I'm talking about, you get first turn, you move your transports into position for a second turn charge, your transport gets wrecked and your surviving melee unit then have nowhere to go, dive for cover maybe, but can't charge! Opponents army shoots you for a whole turn and then if any of that unit survive have to get through overwatch. Just seems overly punitive to melee based armies, who are in a very bad place already in 8th ed. | |

| Are you sure that the destroyed transport rule isn't referring to player turns, rather than game turns? | |

That rule doesn't do that. It just means that if your unit is in a transport that charges and is destroyed during overwatch, you can't then declare a charge with the unit that just popped out. You're confusing turns for game rounds.

| So... this was brought up at my local when we were talking about if tyranids can double tap now via Overwatch.
"With the exception of Stratagems, all rules (e.g. abilities, Warlord Traits, psychic powers etc.) that would apply in a specific phase apply to actions that are taking place ‘as if it were that phase’. However, if a Stratagem specifies that it must be used in a specific phase, then it can only be used in that phase (e.g. you cannot use a Stratagem that says ‘Use this Stratagem in the Shooting phase’ to affect a unit that is Shooting ‘as if it were the Shooting phase’). For the purposes of this FAQ, Overwatch attacks are also considered to be attacks made as if it were your Shooting phase."
Can you no longer OW a character if they are the closest?
