-2000Webway Option (Have it in there but I don't NEED it, units to go inside): Talos, Grots+2 Haem, both wych units, both reaver units. The big problem people have with WWP lists a lot is having good prescence on the board before the WWP Reserves come in, IMO.... If I have 1st and want to use WWP - Haemmie is riding solo on a random transport (and having the fleet of vehicles + 2 Lanceborn units + 10 Warrior unit + Scourges helps guard the WWP deploy area) Other two Haemmies generally start with the Grotesques to make sure they can't be Tank Shocked willy nilly after entering from the Portal, then can either stay there till the unit gets it's own pain tokens to be self-sustaining or risk it and have the Haemies help elsewhere. Hate on the Wracks if you must, they're cheap scoring to hide with. If I have 2nd: Join Warriors and settle for a closer WWP to my deployment I suppose Now you might be asking what motivated me to get Grotesques and fully upgraded into a list? Might I answer trying to deal with Necron Scarabs in reasonably good time while being a dual threat? Kthxbai...No really, C&C would be nice.[i]

| If the Scourges are just going to sit and snipe, and you have the open Elite slot - why not just field Trueborn with 2 Lances instead? It'd be more affordable. | |

| Mobility capabilities for after the WWP comes in, their Carbines could be more useful? | |

| I would give the scourges heat lances and or haywire blasters. There are few units that can field these destructive little guys and you have all three; play it up. Scourges can be mobile and crush tanks at the same time. Nothing is more annoying then a target that wont sit still. | |

I agree with MV - if you want them mobile, why have lances? If you want lances why have Scourges. I'd probably give them Haywire Blasters personally - still good range and a solid tool for gakking with armor. If you want the lances I'd just go with Trueborn.

| Haywires arent solid anymore in my book needing to kill more than stunlock, but maybe Heat Lances instead sure. | |

| Heat Lances give them some range limitations and prevent them from being part of an initial alpha strike. They can work, but they work markedly different from lances. | |

| In a 2k point list I'd always try to run 2 WWP's. Redundancy is key with a reserve list.
Also, whats your plan for DoW mission? Stick the haem in the unit of 7 wyches/ raider and get shot off the board if you go 2nd or get the init stolen? Hold it all back in reserves and hope you get the WWP in fast and then spend 2 turns getting it in place?
I've been messing around with a WWP list and Ive my best results are when I run a large group of warriors and if DoW comes up just stick the haem in there and try to deploy them in cover instead of zooming on the board in a raider. You could use wracks too for the added toughness if you were so inclined.

| I don`t understand. What is bad with Scourges having dual blasters? They don`t limit the range (shardcarbines have 18" too), they are more killy than Haywire Blasters (although less stunny) And allow you to move. Any flaws I don`t know about? | |

| Nothing really "bad" about them using blasters, however there are other sources in the codex for blasters. Very few other options for heat lances and haywire blasters so it's not really using them to their full potential. | |

I can do exactly that if you read my list Or he can be solo and bank on protection on everything else coming in first turn (9 Skimmers, all the original support) Remember: Transports can't enter through the WWP so I will have a fleet of empty Transports helping guard the WWP deploy area.
