New? Drahzar vs Jain Zar artwork

Drazhar can still be taken, even if he is crap. And we've also got the option of taking The Visarch or Yvraine (or even The Yncarne) in a non-Ynnari list.

Yeah the "he is crap" part is the problem. New model for him means new rules, hopefully he's worth taking. Ynnari characters do not count in my book, I'm a dark eldar purist and want nothing to do with those special characters in my dark eldar army.

Jain Zar model is nice I suppose, never was going to excite me regardless. I look forward to next week.

The most exciting thing about today's reveal is that they are mentioning our living muse... We are the children of the living muse..!

I mean that's not news, that lore update came in our most recent codex.

I dont understand how the daughters of khaine from AoS can be so thin and agile looking and jain zar just looks so bulky

The article states that she's swapped Disarming Strike for the new ability. She's lost it.

Also, bear in mind that Jain has a 2+ save. She should be relatively bulky.

eh in my opinion it doesnt fit the fluff very well, in most artwork she looks much lighter

but maybe its just the paintjob they used, i also dont like the look of most new forgeworld models but when you get to see the unpainted version it usually looks much much better

DoK also have priests to make them stronger, basic girls are not very good, but when you press your 1, 2, 3, buttons they becomes insanely good. I play in a competitive AoS scene and the DoK players stopped playing them b.c it was "I cast these 3 priest abilities, ok i push models closer to you" and thats it, no fun in the army at all.

But the idea still stands, they are a basic 1 wound 6+ save, they are the Hormgants of 40k before all the buffs.

Agreed, that is my problem with this version as well, the miniature doesn't really fit the artwork and fluff to me and it feels to me with the new batch of Banshees that GW seems to be going against the lore of the Eldar being lithe. Physiology of the Eldar has it so that their muscles are more powerful than ours requiring less bulk for the same amount of strength and that they actual have no fat equivalent. Yes her armor is more reinforced but we don't actually know by what means, is it additional plates or by virtue of the ancient materials and techniques used in its construction. The Eldar are greatly diminished from what they used to be, in technology and psychic abilities.

The problem with that is, it is clear all miniatures are getting bigger, if you compare her to new chaos, primaris etc.. she is still small XD

And space marines are supposed to be bulky in the lore. Height isn't the issue I'm talking about, actually Eldar are supposed to be about 7 feet tall in the lore if memory serves. But they are supposed to be lithe, with longer bodies (torsos and limbs) than humans.

Theya re getting bigger all around for the hobbyest, may not like it, but thats what GW is doing.

Also, her disarm skill has been around for a LONG time, sad to see it go :/

Wait, i thought GW was Darkcist, they hate all DE equally.

Maybe she got fatter of all these years of doing nothing and dusting in shelves

Regarding bulk, the Eldar armour in general has never appealed to me. It always just looks like they've glued slices of ham to themselves and then painted over it.

Lol I wouldn't go that far, but I know what you mean, they have a bunch of random ovals sorta throw on their armor. Looks like new Jain Zar has that as well.

Now to wait and see what Drazhars new ability and look will be, I don't think they can make the ability worse than it is already

Now that you say that I really think GW is Darkcist, they also hate Dark Angels

Phoenix Lords dont have physiology, they are just walking animated pieces of suits.

All Phoenix Lords were Eldar at one point and I don't remember reading anywhere that says they can change their size and shape. So they would have the same shape that they had when they merged with the armor (if you know of some lore that says otherwise I am genuinely interested in knowing the source).

Shall be very intersting to see what "special" character we need. I´m not 100% sure its Drahzar but propably it is.
