Does the -1 to hit stack from vectored emgines, lightning assault, alaitoc fieldcraft. Because it sure seems like it. With 2 shuriken cannons i feel like they could put out quite a volley. With -3 to hit. Many hitting on 6+ seems like they could be a terror

Yes, but you are shooting very little shots for very little damage just to have -2/-3 to hit.

If Hornet Pulse lasers were assault, I would have 9 hornets in my list. Sadly, they are not, they are overpriced, and they are not point effective.

The pulse lasers are good for bringing 2 damage each, and being able to engage at range. That's why I run one, shortly to add a second. Just wouldn't bother with shurikens on them, plenty of better ways to bring those, and tbh you only bring those because they're cheap, not because they are particularly effective.
