With the future release of the dark eldar codex, let's see what people think we will get. Winners will get nothing and losers will get a patronizing glance. (We're dark eldars, after all!)

Just sounds about right.
I expect that our codex will be streamlined and more similar to the codices we have seen so far. I expect the book to be "good", but without much uniqueness or creativity behind it.

Only new model (other than lilith) would be a new Grotesque sculpt. Then a bunch of buffs to killing power (and a nerf to PoF Coven units).
That is what my crystal ball says.

Honestly dont want a bunch of new models, my pile of shame is too large as it is
Just get us some easily re-posed Grotesques! And some great DE specific secondary's of a similar power to the Necron/Space Marine ones.
Would love to get some sort of "kill a few models from different units" type thing that doesnt replace All Fronts or Scramblers

That would be mighty awesome, but I would think that if Grotesques had gotten a new sculpt, we would have gotten plastic urien instead.
My secret dream would be a Grotesque multi-kit where could could choose between a melee variant and ranged variant (think of Coven Mutilators/Obliterators)... sigh, if only.

Looking over the announced release schedule, my thinking is this:
GW usually have 3 big releases during autumn. This year was SM and Necrons for 40k, and giants (I think?) for AoS. In a usual year SM would probably have been released in september, giants in oktober, and necrons in november, or something like that (but I'm guessing the pandemic is the cause of SM/Nec being released alongside one another) All releases that has come (or been announced) between then and Drukhari has been small releases, that takes up a week and leaves space for something else (the main release of the month or so)
It seems Dark Angels will follow that trend (they're being released in january, presumably with some of the still unreleased-but-known SM kits, so probably a smaller release, to accompany something larger). The Slaanesh-mortals (and new, named D.Prince) is probaby the next larger release, since it has been revealed. So probably in january for both them and DA. So Drukhari will probably be a february release at the earliest. And, it could be Drukhari or it could be someone else, but either way; by then it would be about time for a more substantial 40k-release.
Also, thinking about Vect. Isn't there some kind of supreme commander detachment now? I remember seeing some rumor about every faction having a unit that would be given that keyword (making them playable for any force using the codex, or something like that). I can't imagine them giving that title to anyone of our current named character with a model, rather than Vect. Especially with how they really strengthened his position and power in the last codex. And it would seem weird to release the codex this early in the edition, if they aren't ready to fill that gap. (Of course, if they have no plans, or intention, to do so at all, then it doesn't matter how early they drop the codex, so it might be nothing).
This all makes me curious, and cautiously optimistic. Regardless of how it plays out I think it wold be reeasonable to assume we'll get at least a couple of kits. The big question is; will we get fixes for units that need it (Grotesques, plastic kit that consolidates the court and beastmaster units into a singla package, etc) or new units?

Yes. The grotesque-model is such an obvious fix waiting to happen. (and the artwork from their 5ed Codex is sooo goood). They could be really beautiful in plastic.

I honestly think we will only be getting Lelith as a new model ... thinking back to the rumor engines for the last several months the only one that could even feasibly be for druhkari was also the one that was so obviously lelith ... there was one that could have been a new Urien model but I think it's since been revealed to have been Fabius bile, we have recently gotten a new sculpt for the incubi and Drahzar so im kind of surprised we are even getting a new lelith, and with the quick peak at the new incubi rules i think its safe to assume the rest of the codex has gotten similar treatment with rules and weapons updates but not much else ... I suppose we will have to wait for our week of previews but I don't see anything huge being revealed ... unless we are playing a much bigger role in the upcoming campaign with admech and death guard(?) Then we know

Just noticed that the thread is techically about a Dark Eldar "pool".
Something tells me you would not want to swim in that, the fluid would be highly suspect XD

I like your optimism, but the problem is how they define factions. In crusade, they define Aeldari and Imperium as factions, not Drukhari or Astra Militarum. And right now you can take a supreme command detachment with papa smurf and make him lead an Astra Militarum army without paying any cp for that. I am not sure that would not already count as every imperial faction having access to a supreme commander. So an option to fulfil this could also be the Yncarne as a supreme commander for all Aeldari. If they really want to create a unique one for every codex, they would also be planning supreme knights. And I don't see any practical use of a knight boosted in a similar scope as the primarchs or the silent king, it would pointwise end up being something similar to a titan. Even if it still would be playable in a normal match, the one thing knights don't need is even fewer units on the table.

I get where you're coming from. And that could very well be the case! ^^ But I think it's worth noting that there was no rumor engine-pics, or similar hints, for anything in the necron release. And that was an impressive release. Not saying that the same will be rue for Drukhari. Just that absence of teaser-pics doesn't have to mean the absence of a model release! =)
As a side note: Historically speaking a one-model release along a codex has been extremely rare. With the exception of 8th edition (which was a special case, since the rules was so different that there was a need to push out all the books with such speed that it wasn't possible to link each one to a model-release), the only time it has hapened (that I can recall/know of) was the Necron 'dex in 7ed (2015) and the upcoming Death Guard codex (technically two models, but still very few).
The Death Guard release could of course be setting a trend for things to come (It's way too early to tell). But it could be that they are simply so new, that they're not considered to need more models at the moment, in favor for some older armies who've been waiting a while for new stuff (like astra militarum, orks, etc.) There has been a heavy focus on releasing new armies for the past years (2015 - 2018 saw the release of 8 completely new factions, even if some of them were only a few models). So maybe we'll see more focus on some of the older gangs, fo a time? That could be nice=)

Historical GW would have also already shown pictures not just rumour engine pictures for a big release. The new Genestealers were released in February and the reveal of this bigger release was in November with pictures of the new miniatures. For the new ork vehicles in November 2018 they showed a trailer video in August. They reveal a bigger release about 3 months before it happens. If they don't show anything in the next week and the drukhari codex is released before April I am pretty sure it will be just Lelith and the codex.

Preview online, just Lelith taken hostage inside a 2 player box like Drazhar with Phoenix Rising just this time with wyches vs sisters. I personally still think the old Lelith is better, so no need to buy that box for me.

Optimistically, option 4, which should really be the bare minimum of what to expect.
Realistically, option 6.

They said we are getting a bit of a overhaul, so I say the closest is 3? Lelith and some core rules changes along with buffs to many units.
