| Comment thread for Archeonlotet entry OH! That is a very good conversion. I had not ever considered doing a baroness. Good thinking there.

| Thanks GAR, it was her hair that inspired me to do it. It had the perfect look for someone on a skyboard so when I put it together I was very pleased with the results.
I still need to jazz up the skyboard itself, and I'm still debating on whether or not her glaive is too long.
I hope to put forth a worthy entry into the contest!

| Awesome Baroness! Am doing one myself but concentrated more on the board than the rider. Yours looks terrific, and blends together very nicley. | |

| Thanks very much Gobsmakked! I still want to jazz up her board... I just have no idea what to do with it that will look good. I took a look at your baroness and wow... that skyboard is AWESOME! | |

| Bigger guns to better suit a leader might be one suggestion. I swapped out the board's regular barrels for slightly larger ones from splinter rifles. You could even use splinter cannon ones. Or the pods off a Talos or Venom. | |

| Ive never thought of using that sorceroress for a DE model, but it looks amazing. Might have to do a lady malys conversion with her now As for the board, it can use some gems and blades | |

| I also would like a good model for Lady Malys... but my plan is to model her on the Dais of Destruction as a "counts as Vect" for when she ultimately overthrows him! My first inclination is to use one of the torsos from the Dark Elf Black Dragon kit, but the heads that come with that kit are kinda... meh. I was thinking about adding some blades on it in a x-wing type fashion, but I haven't gotten around to doing it. I've been practicing some painting (with a little inspiration from a wonderful flesh tutorial that was posted in a project log not too long ago ) This way when I feel comfortable painting flesh, I can do her some justice. | |

| The Dark Elf Sorceress top half for your conversion worked really well. I was considering using it for a conversion as well and I think you have convinced me to go for it!

| Thanks for the kind words! If this challenge gets people inspired to do some conversion work, it is a success. I'm glad that my offering has helped grease the wheels of creativity! Good luck with your conversion Angrypeasant, and make sure to post some pics. If you can sneak it into the challenge, the more the merrier | |

| The idea for a Baroness is something many have attempted but I really like what you have pulled off, I've thought of things I could use that Sorceress for and it really works.
Looking forward to seeing her painted, any ideas on the colour scheme?

| I've started to paint up some stuff in order to get back into practice. I've been using a blue/green color scheme on the models I've been painting so I'll probably follow suit when I get started on her. I'd like to post some pics of the models I've gotten painted up and start a project log.. but my photo skills are awful. I need to work out how to take good pics and I will post them up for people to check out | |

| That looks very nice indeed. I was thinking about using that Sorceress model in a conversion the minute it came out, and you've given me a good example of how it can work. | |

| Hey - an inspiring leader for an army that's for sure.
What I'd suggest is making the skin more contrasted - it has an interesting, not-so-obvious colour, so it wouold really be cool if you added some deeper shadows (between fingers, toes, joints etc.) and some extreme highlights (again fingers, toes, joints) and a bit of mid-highlights overall on the skin to make the character stand out more from the skyboard

| Thanks for the suggestions wilku The character stands out a bit more from the board irl because I am absolutely horrible at taking pics of minis. I had an empty box lined with printer paper for the mini to sit in while it was lit with a shoddy desklamp. I then finished up this photo mess with a pic from a cellphone lol. I'm definitely not 100% pleased with the finished product, but this flesh work is leaps and bounds better than my flesh work on previous models (thanks to the how-to that ESE did). I'd like to experiment a bit more with some shading but to be completely honest... I'm nervous about messing it up | |

| You could shade the skin with a mixture of Leviathan Purple and Devlan Mud(50/50). Don't wash the whole model, but just paint it into the crevasses. Should add some depth. I really like the conversion. | |
