| After painting a bunch of wyches, time has come to get their transports painted. Only thing I'm doubting about is their color... Since my wyches are wearing a black suit with yellow plating and have black hair, I'm thinking about some possibilities: - Black hull, yellow details/markings - Yellow hull, black details/markings - Yellow hull, blue details/markings Here's a pic of 1 of my wyches (just a quick iphone shot...)  | |

| Black with a little yellow trim would look good. Too much yellow and you run the risk of looking like a bumblebee, and no one wants that...
The trick is to paint what you want to eventually be yellow white first and then paint over that in the shade of yellow that you are using. In this manner your yellow color will "pop" more and look more vibrant. Plus, as an added bonus, if you get a little too Michael J Fox with the yellow then you can just go back in with your black and tighten things up. Easy Peezy. | |

| I am not an exceptional painter but I find doing yellow details to be a huge hassle. I painted 4000 points of bad moon orks and will not be doing so again any time soon. I think the simplest way would be to undercoat the transport white and then airbrush the whole thing yellow. Once you have a solid yellow undercoat you can paint the mechanical parts and the details however you want. I love the yellow armour on your wyches and think it would also look great on there ships. | |

| Yellow hulls with black or blue sails and hull runes would look quite striking. You really have a unique look with the yellow; I would run with it. | |

Another advantage to Deff Skullz  Yellow hulls would look great, and I do like to see something different from dark-themed DE, but I also really like that black Reaver with yellow trim. And I think it best fits with your Wyche. That would be a really nice looking army on the tabletop. | |

I decided to go and try both the black hull/yellow markings and the yellow hull/black markings.
Personally I believe the yellow hull will work best so I' starting out on that one tomorrow if I can find some spare time.
