Mellow Yellow... Help with a colour

Hail fellow Archons!

I'm finally getting down to painting some of my DE models, who've been half built and unpainted for some time now. Going for the classic (hopefully not over-used ) purple/teal scheme. I liked the colour scheme and the fluff for the Kabal of the Last Hatred (seen in WD #372) and knew I had to do it.

BUT!!!!

I'm having problems figuring out the YELLOW used in the model, and I was wondering if some of the more fluent/artistic/stronger archons might know how it was done. See the pic below for reference. With reference to the GW colours would be great help.

Snakebite leather or bestial brown then layered up with iyandin darksun would be my guess

I agree Snakebite leather and Iyandin Darksun maybe with a little Golden Yellow Mixed in.

I would also add it looks like there is a bit of Skull white added to the Golden Yellow/Darksun as a final highlight

This sounds correct. You could also try Iyandian Darksun washed with Gryphone Sepia, then highlighted with bleached bone/white.

Ok, so I take it that Iyanden Darksun is lighter than Snakebite Leather. I don't have any of the foundation paints, so I'm unsure.
I'll give it a try, see how it comes out and let everyone one know.
