Question is, does old Apoc DE formations still valid?
In Apocalypse rulebook we have 2, ravagers titan hunters and splinter raid.

Ravagers i might call ok and working.

Splinter raid contains old raider squad, which is absent in current codex? Can i use them? I think this raider squad represent warriors mounted in raider.

Also all old Apoc formations disappeared from GW site, no more old Carnaval of Pain or others (i dont remember if there were more).

Splinter raid seems ok to me, just build warrior squads in raiders and switch the HQ retinue to the new freak show for Archons..I'll look in my stack of PDfs when I get home and see what else there was if any.

Good news that the latest WD has some new ones though!

I was wondering about this myself recently. (The Splinter Raid formation is probably the only way my court will ever get fielded!) Apoc games are really about friendly games anyways; most of your opponents are going to be good sports that would be willing for you to adjust the unit requirements to the new codex. If they aren't, did you really want to spend 4-5hours playing a 3,000+ game against them anyways? Evil or Very Mad

Ok so looking at the Karnival of Pain, it looks fine for use with the new codex, but I might allow the following changes:

-Allow Wracks as well as Grotesques, since the old dex didn't have both types.

- Allow the 3 Haemonculi can be ancient ones as well, but I'd be easier if they were all one or all the other.

-I would also say the drugs you roll for the formation should be the same as the rest of the army since you only now make one roll, rather than one per unit. The roll per turn I'd keep.
