I've been toying with running a minimal squad sized dark eldar list and came up with a force that I hope would have enough hulls to make most other armies unable to cope at 1k

Haemonculus
-liquifier
(I wanted a succubus but the pts just didnt allow)

(2)(5) warriors
-blaster
-raider

(2)(5) Wyches
-haywire
-raider

(2)(3) Trueborn
-2x Splinter Cannons
-Venom
-2nd Splinter cannon

(2) Ravagers

This comes out to be 998pts with 8 hulls in 1000pts 8 splinter cannons(48 shots), 12 dark weapons, 10 haywire. only 26 troops though.

As it is my meta is again shifting back to more mechanized lists so while it may appear I have more AT than I need, it is a reasonable amount.

How do people think this list will fair against most armies? Will it just not have enough objective holding capabilities, will it collapse once I start loosing hulls? Comments would be much appreciated because I really am not sure what is good now in 6th or not. Are minimal squads a bad choice now?

the list is very viable. Mech is still very strong, and you should have no problem playing this.

my one thing is that venoms are always better than Splinterborn, as you always get that 6 shots per cannon. Maytbe dropping the splinterborn for lanceborn and switching some of the raiders for venom???

Also I wouldnt use elites when you could always have more troops.

MSU is amazing in 6th!

Blaster warriors in venoms still rule the roost when it comes to DE lists. Very Happy

Are the wyches a smart choice, or is it bad to mix cc and ranged in a 1000 pts list. should I drop them for some more warriors w/ blasters. This would give me enough pts to upgrade two more raiders to venoms w/ dual SC.

I wouldnt use the wyches for cc, small squads of wyches with haywires are for anti mech. Watching them wreck a landraider in swoop is hilarious! Smile

i should have phrased that differently, I didnt mean that I would use the wyches for actual cc but assualting a vehicles mean that I need to be in close range with it or cc with the vehicle which mixes up the denial that I could be using by staying at like 36 inches away from the enemy. Its just creating a discrepancy in overall tactics

flawless victory against a necron player. He ran a warriors annihalation barges wraiths and a destroyer lord and was tabled in the first 4 turns. I was able to pop the annihaltion barges with the lances and then kite the wraiths until I could finish them off. Then went after the warriors one squad at a time and wiped the board. Was a pretty good game. I am liking the mass amount of fire I can put out and still have 8 hulls.
