It's that time of year again when armies clash over the rivers and fields of battle in Murfreesboro, TN! The 5th Annual Battle for Stones River is now open for registration! This year we have moved to a bigger venue and increased the number of participants from 50 to 70. Last year the event sold out in a month, so be sure to register early. This year we are also on the Games Workshop Tournament Circuit. The first place winner from the event will receive a free ticket to the North American Throne of Skulls Championship in October 2013. For registration, please call Grand Adventures Comics in Murfreesboro, TN at 1-615-867-0838. Tournament Date: February 25, 2012; check-in begins at 8:30am CST
Points Level: 1863 (The year of the Battle of Stones River during the American Civil War)
Rounds: 4, with a 2 hour time limit per game
Location: Lane Agri-Park Community Center, Murfreesboro, TN
Number of Players: 70 players max (to date 27 spots have already been filled!)
Entry Fee: $30 entry fee; lunch is included!

The actual Battle for Stones River site is only a few miles away from where the event will be held. It's well worth the short drive over there!

Man! I remember going to one of these a few years back. If anyone is even thinking about going, you're in for a lot of fun. I wish I still lived up in Clarksville. I would definitely like to attend once again.

Also: Grand Adventures Comics is ran by a really amazing guy and he's got a pretty good staff. It was the first gaming/comic/etc place I ever walked in to where everyone didn't ignore me (I used to look like an "angry beefcake" as one person once put it). Second place of course being up where I am now, but that's off topic.

Battle for Stones River is an amazing event that is ran by a really great group of people. I really think that if you're in the area, that $30 price tag is well worth it.
