Hey guys!

So after building, then selling a 2500 point force, then rebuying a new army for 25% of the cost from farming Ebay carefully.. I am now getting back into the gaming side with a touch more seriousness.

I am due to be playing a mini 6 way tourney at 750 points (BA, Imperial Guard, Eldar, DE and Sw)

Are there any glaring weakenesses in this list?

Haemonculous, Venom blade and Liquifier

10 x Kabalites with Darklance + Blaster

2 x 5 Wyches
Hekatrix with Power weapon
Haywire grenades
Hydra Gauntlets

In Venom with additional Splinter cannon

5 x Scourges
with 2 x Haywire blaster

1 x Ravager
with 3 x Disintergrators and Flickerfield

(Summary: 4 x Anti tank mid range shots, 9 x marine killing shots, plus normal 20 x man count with their normal guns and combat potential)

Any thoughts ?

Alright, let's break it down.

The big Warrior squad is just a big no-no. Compared to that, two separate units of 5 (both with blaster) would fare a LOT better, increasing your mobility, and spread your threats at the same time. And even that option is subpar; 5 Warriors with blaster in a Raider is probably the optimal choice for Troops ranged AT.

The Wych squads, on the other hand, could well do with buffed numbers. Maybe even merge the squads, since multi-assaults shouldn't be too hard to pull off. Gauntlets tend not to be worth it; those points are imho better spent on upgrading their PW to Ago (it is your main combat unit, after all).

Scourges are nice. However, at this pts level you can ill afford to consider any unit as sacrificial. Maybe take Reavers instead, or follow my sig and take another Warrior/Raider combo.

As for the Ravager: DLs all the way. Maybe even add another one since these are -by far- the most pts efficient AT available to DE. You might even want to add a second one - they are that good.

Last two things:
- Where does the Haemy fit? None of your Wyches can accompany him as it stands and they are certainly the ones most able to benefit from the Pain Token. Remedy this if nothing else.
- If you want cheap Venoms, consider Wracks (as Troops!).

I am very new to the game, and am playing 750pt league currently.

When I was looking at the Wyches, they seemed too fragile without the Pain Token...and since I was taking Haemy already, I went with Wracks for the CC troop choice to go with him. I gave Heamy and one Wrack a Liquifier Gun and the unit starts with two Pain Tokens. They did well against Terminator squad lead by a Librarian.

I second Raneth - Dark Lances all the way!

I picked up a pack of Hellions over Scourges...don't know what that will do for me until after I get them in my army, but again...I think Dark Lance looks better over the blaster, because at 750pts...once you've removed their tanks, you can run circles picking off your targets.
