| Hey there, I was wondering whether i could fit in a razorwing in place of 1 of my ravagers, If only to help with hordes. Like for something such as a Kan Wall from the orks.
It would have 2 dark lances, so that after its missile volley, it could still fill in a lesser anti tank role.
I've been playing around with ideas on fitting it in, and the best way i found is to remove the haywire grenades from my wych and bloodbride squads. I'm wondering now, whether this will hurt me more than benefit me.
Here's my 1750 list, so you can see my overall AT, and whether removing the haywires to fit in a razorwing would be good or bad.
HQ:
Archon - Huskblade, Venom Blade, Soul Trap, Clone Field, Combat Drugs, Ghostplate Armour - 150 Succubus - Agonizer - 85
TROOPS:
9 Wyches - Hekatrix(Agonizer), Razorflails, Haywire Grenades / Raider - Flickerfields - 218 10 Kabalite Warriors - Blaster, Splinter Cannon / Raider - Flickerfields - 185 10 Kabalite Warriors - Blaster, Splinter Cannon / Raider - Flickerfields - 185 10 Kabalite Warriors - Blaster, Splinter Cannon / Raider - Flickerfields - 185
ELITES:
9 Bloodbrides - 3 Shardnet and Impalers, Haywire Grenades / Raider - Flickerfields - 235
FAST ATTACK:
3 Reavers - Heat Lance - 78 3 Reavers - Heat Lance - 78
HEAVY SUPPORT:
1 Ravager - Flickerfields - 115 1 Ravager - Flickerfields - 115 1 Ravager - Flickerfields - 115 \\1 Razorwing - Flickerfields, 4 Monoscythe Missiles - 155
FINAL POINTS: 1744
Taking the haywire grenades out, will give me 36 points. Then replacing one Ravager with the Razorwing takes me to a total of 1748 points.
Any assistance or suggestions are appreciated.

| I haven't run Bloodbrides before, but I wonder if you could simply make them normal Wyches and drop two of the shardnet/impalers. This should cover the points while giving you fifth troop option. You don't lose the AT of the haywire grenades for the two wyche units while adding the huge AI of the Razorwing.
I can see why that Bloodbride unit with Succubus would be a nasty tarpit though...

| For the razorwing I like 4 necrotoxin missiles with 2 disintegrator cannons. Pretty much any squad will be blown away. Looks like you have 5 raiders and 2 ravagers then for 11 Dark lances plus the heat lances on the Reavers. I dont see the need to do the Dark Lances on the Razorwing. | |

| I approve of ESE's suggestion though it will weaken your clone field shenanigans.
The basic core is this - you're amping up your anti-infantry ability to eat one unit by taking a solid hit to your anti-mech capability across the board. This *might* be a good idea for your army, but only if your army chews up mech lists and spits them out but has trouble killing infantry. If your mech killing is at a comfortable spot, you need to do a more moderate massage to get in the anti-infantry power you need. (honestly your list looks pretty well built for anti-infantry already, so maybe you just fight in a very infantry heavy situation)

| thanks for the replies.
The bloodbrides are for the archon to ride with. I like the shardnet and clonefield combos.
I think my original list imo is pretty decent for AI like you said. although a few ppl suggested or pointed out, that I could have issues with horde armies. This change is mostly to cover that while still keeping my list relatively the same.
then on a completely aesthetic basis - I'm a bit meh about my entire army kinda looking the same. with 3 ravagers, 5 raiders and 6 reavers - the raiders and ravagers looking similar too. (essentially its the same vehicle, with the ravager having extra weapons platforms)
Also, while im not so wowed by the bloodbrides essentially just looking like wyches, and I love the look of the incubi. I just really like the shardnet/clonefield combo (at least until i wanna try something different)
but really, the variety in vehicles/units is mostly an aesthetic thing.
back to the razorwing - the missiles were, what I thought to be my simple answer to horde armies. as well as dealing with longfangs - without changing too much or tailoring my list entirely to one specific army. (my group of friends play spacewolves, ork kan wall, necrons, CSM, with a blood angels player possibly starting soon)
I'm not really sure what the meta is like in my local community, as ive mostly only been with friends. though there are quite a few Imp. Guards, spacemarines, blood angels and CSM (I'm one of the few dark eldar)
I'm not averse to making slightly bigger changes though - my main concern is to keep a very mobile army, all being able to move shoot and/or assault in the same turn. Then, at least for my first/main list - keeping the bloodbrides for the shardnet/clonefield combo.
Thanks for the suggestions, given me quite a bit to think about, and sorry for the wall of text ^^ Feel free to add more if you wish - I really appreciate it.
