Emperors Children (Possibly NSFW)

So I dunno if it says anything about me that my 2 40k armies both consist of sadistic perverted deviants.... but it seems to be what I sympathise with.

Call it a lifestyle choice. That covers everything.

He's a real ladies man.

As you can see, I never get anything quite finished.
What happened was that I'd originally had the models painted up, but afterwards got my hands on the sonic weapon arms needed and cut everything up to attach them.

I was quite lucky in that regard as I got all the sonics for FREE off some guy on B&C (Apostle of Chaos I think) who didn't want them... so he just sent me them in the post.



He also gave me plenty of EC shoulder pads. I'm a jammy git am I not?

I really should finish them off. I think the pink could be toned down especially. Pehaps a scab red wash?

A tip for the blood: To really get a nice effect, you should try the Baal Red wash to darken it up, then highlight only in places with a light red (like the Citadel Blood Red). The little bit of variance makes it seem more runny. Then, when you're done, cover just the blood with glossy varnish so it picks up the light.

Makes it look really gross and still-wet fresh!

In all seriousness though, I really like your conversions! The colour combinations are very Slaanesh, too. Great job!

Some really great conversions and ideas - no Slaanesh army should be SFW.

Think you should finish you Black Heart first.

And if any Dark Eldar have their souls eaten around here I know who to go to first.

Since I don't live near a GW though I have to use what paints I have - ie the nearest approximation I can mix up.

I got a Raider for the Black Heart. That'll be next.
I'm actually looking forward to eventually getting the battleforce etc. DE models are vastly superior to CSMs.

Very nice conversions you have here. In particular I like the Terminator Lord and the Sorcerer. Great use of color on both of those.

Any paints will do, really. You just need to make sure you have a dark red and a really bright red for highlights. And the glossy varnish, of course, to make it look slick and wet.

Personally, EC are the best traitor legion. Mmmm. Love me some sonic weapon goodness.

Fantastic conversions and your painting is excellent! This will be an amazing army on the tabletop when it's all done.
