| Hey there, I've decided to change up my list, and replace my Succubus with 2 Haemonculi, as well as replace a squad of warriors with wyches. To get an all round slightly more assault orientated and slightly beefier army with pain tokens from the Haemonculi.
Here's the list so far:
HQ:
Archon - Agoniser, Shadowfield, Ghostplate Armour, Phantasm Grenade Launcher, Combat Drugs - 155 Haemonculus - Liquifier, Shattershard - 75 Haemonculus - Liquifier - 60
TROOPS:
9 Wyches - Hekatrix(Agoniser), Razorflails / Raider - Flickerfields - 200 9 Wyches - Hekatrix(Agoniser), Razorflails / Raider - Flickerfields - 200 10 Kabalite Warriors - Blaster, Splinter Cannon / Raider - Flickerfields - 185 10 Kabalite Warriors - Blaster, Splinter Cannon / Raider - Flickerfields - 185
ELITES:
5 Incubi / Raider - Flickerfields - 180
FAST ATTACK:
3 Reavers - Heat Lance - 78 3 Reavers - Heat Lance - 78
HEAVY SUPPORT:
1 Ravager - Flickerfields - 115 1 Ravager - Flickerfields - 115 1 Ravager - Flickerfields - 115
FINAL POINTS: 1741
I originally had the archon with the whole huskblade/soul trap combo and clonefield with 9 bloodbride 3 shardnet shenanigans. But that is too expensive with the other changes I made.
I'm in a way happy that the incubi option is cheaper than the bloodbride option, because i really wanted to try Incubi. but im a bit worried that the only reason that the Incubi would work here is because the bloodbride equivalent would be too expensive in this new list.
One thing im not too happy with is the change from huskblade/soul trap to agoniser. to me it seems the archon has lost some of its awesomeness, while i do love agonisers - I almost feel like the huskblade/soul trap thing was meant for the archons.
But if i want the archon with that combo. and still with incubi, he would be far too expensive, being forced to take PGL and with the clonefield being far less effective with incubi than bloodbrides, requiring the change to a shadowfield.
Anyway. thanks in advance for any suggestions/crit.

| hmmmm interesting list iv seen quite a few on here and most of them have reavers i must b missing a trick lol
its not bad 18 lance weapons at 1750 is pretty gd the archon at the min looks like a little vect
if u wana play assault i wud suggest dropping the archon and get vect the 4+ to steal is well worth the points and since u wan play assault hes a beast in combat
id also suggest adding haywire grenades for more anti tank
id also suggest adding night sheilds to the ravagers so they survive a bit longer

| I like the reavers being able to get behind enemy lines so quickly and with the heat lances, they make the opponent have to make a serious decision. whether to turn around and deal with them. or to leave them and focus on the rest of the army, and the heatlances will do well to get rid of some of that long range heavy support. though they are a suicidal unit with the lances instead of blasters.
I'd prefer to not use special characters, I like being able to customise the loadouts of vanilla ones (and If I did buy a special character, which I might in the future I'd like them to at least have cool unique looking models, still sucks that vect has no model). Also vect is quite expensive, and I'm currently having issues with points it seems.
I helped a friend make his first 1750 Blood angels list last night. And it was refreshingly easy to make an all round solid list of units that he really liked (myself included).
My main problems with choosing units are lying with the HQs and elites atm. Can't seem to get the combination i'm truly happy with in terms of gameplay and visuals. between elites and HQs too much revolves around how they work together (which is a good and bad thing imo) the synergy is nice. but also, like in this case makes it difficult to easily just swap one unit.
The night shields could be pretty cool though, but i would have to use them in place of the flicker fields due to point issues.
Thanks for the assistance so far.

| no worries!! i enjoy building lists although im ready for a break from dark eldar
haha i see ur porblem now and explains some of ur choices in ur list lets go back thru
BA are a boring marine army so its not really hard to make a gd list bcoz the game is built around marines and everything else is added in after that
before u make a lisy ur happy with u have 2 choices stick with units u like and keep the army asthetics that u enjoy OR follow every1 else comp ur list for more wins once u kno the answer to that it will be alot easier to make ur lists
the problem i think with dark eldar is bcoz their so fragile u cant really build a random list and get away with it so untill u decide that its gunna be hard to make a list

| Yeah, after reading through his codex to get to know the army to help him build that list, I got a true wakeup call to how fragile dark eldar really are.
I'm thinking of swapping the reavers to scourges with haywire blasters tbh, it'll free up a few points too - added to the already left over points.
I could get in a 3rd haemonculus to go with my archon and incubi (also if i take off shattershard on the one haemonculus, though I'm still playing around more with the list, cus that shattershard is too nice to just get rid of)
Or go with the huskblade/soultrap combination, but im weary of taking that combination with incubi.
