500, 1000, 1500 Campaign Lists

Taking part in a campaign soon and I need the above 3 pointed lists. No restrictions.

The opponents ill probably be facing are Orks, Imps, Tyranids and Tau. None of them have a huge amount of vehicles and I think the imp player is going infantry heavy so that's why I haven't got Ravagers.

Notes: This is the list I am least happy with, the goal being to charge the enemy turn 2 and just tear through them with the raiders doing AT duty. So any ideas for a better 500 list is appreciated.

Notes: Pretty pleased with the list as I have enough AT to deal with the bits ill face and loads of AI and many vehicles to split fire. Any comments go ahead.

OK, just some thoughts.

1) At 500 points, how many other troop units will you be facing on average? Would (2) wych units be enough to deal with them? If so, you could swap one for a unit of three Blasterborn in a Venom (with extra cannon), or four Trueborn - two with Blasters and two with Shardcarbines.

That unit plus the Venom would give you some decent A/I firepower, which you currently lack. To make room points-wise, at 500 pts I would consider swapping your Power weapons for Venom Blades.

I would also suggest going with 5-wych squads, and using the points you save to give one in each squad a Hydra Gauntlet. On average, that will give you more attacks than the regular wych that you dropped.

2) Your 1000 pt list has the opposite problem, no CC capability. Five wyches with a Hydra Gauntlet cost the same as five warriors with a Blaster, so a straight swap is easy. Your Archon doesn't need the Blaster, give him a Venom Blade to get you under 1005 points. And I think that you have enough A/T and dark light, consider Dissies on a couple of your Raiders or the Razorwings for a greater number of shots. They are fine against light armour.

3) Ditto for 1500 pts. You have heaps of Warriors and Blasters/Lances. Swap out a couple of units for Wyches or Bloodbrides, give your Archon some CC power, and look at a few Dissies. I would also find the points to give your Razorwings Flickerfields.

Your lists aren't bad, just a bit too one dimensional in terms of their wych/warrior balance. In my mind anyway. But I have also used warriors in CC just fine on a number of occasions. Play what you want and have fun.

Thanks for the advice, I definitely forgot about Wyches not sure why as I love using them I think these lists would be more balanced.
