The 9th Legion

Whilst I'm getting into building my Dark Eldar, I thought I'd share a few pics of my other 40k army which has been my staple choice for a good few years now. I'll still be adding to these over time but I've got a sizable enough force now to dedicate some proper time to getting the Dark Kin up and running.

The pics have been taken over a long time, so they're a bit of a mish-mash of quality, but hopefully good enough to get a decent idea of what's what.

Thoughts and comments always welcome.

Gorgeous stuff. I really dig the FW Chaplain dread and Terminators.

I was going to ask where that dreadnought came from. BA were my first army, nice to see them done so well, very impressive!

While I don't like "parade" (clean) armies I must say they look really nice. Some smoke on exhaust would look interesting but they look OK.
Bonus points for Space Hulk Terminators.

@ Local Ork - I know what you mean, and I was in two minds over "just-arrived-to-save-the-day-clean", or spending the extra time and effort on, "when-will-this-war-ever-end-battle-worn". Having a decent table top standard and an army to play with kind of won in the end. My Dark Eldar, while not battle-worn, will at least look more like they're in the thick of it though.

@ ESE, The Burning Eye - As soon as I saw the FW Chappy Dread it just had to be converted into a DC version. Built this guy when I was still subjected to the PDF 'dex, and he's very happy he's now got some new skills and toys to play with

Last batch for your entertainment. It's sadly not finished and has been pushed down the order of stuff I want to do, but this is how far I got making a proper sized Chapter Fortress - part display piece and part useable terrain (when it' finished).
