Hello everyone first post here. So my friends decided that now that we all have jobs and can afford gw products that we should get back into warhammer 40k. I decided to tackle the dark eldar which is why im here Smile. It's been a long time since I've played and I'm still familiarizing myself with both the main rulebooks and the dark eldar codex. That's not stopping me from making lists so without further ado

5 kabalite warriors, blaster, venom with additional splinter cannon and flicker field x 3

9 wracks, liquifier, raider with flicker field, haemoculous with liquifier and venom blade x 2

Ravager with flicker field and night shield

Total -1000

I have serious anti armor, lots of mobility, 5 scoring units, and the 2 units of wrackes starting with 2 pain tokens I can only assume will be a serious annoyance for my enemys. Please tear it apart, I'm looking for alot of constructive criticism from those of you with my experience. I look forward to your responses.

It's a pretty nice list.

The big "issue" with it is that you are painfully low on anti-mech shooting (yes, I disagree with you thinking you have 'serious' anti-mech shooting). Consider this - your Wracks and Haems will wreck stuff in the open, also those Venoms will do the same.

To get stuff in the open you have the Ravager, 2 Raiders, and 3 Blasters. The 3 Blasters will have difficulty shooting at the enemy on round 1. So, functionally, on Round 1 you'll have three units trying to hurt the enemy armor, and you'll be lucky if the 2 Raider shots do much since they have a 33% chance to miss and a 50% chance to not do anything vs. AV 12 armor.

Now, that's hardly the end of the universe for you - but something could be done.

The simplest solution would be to shift one of the Warrior Venoms into a Ravager - it's a simple switch for almost equal points (especially if you want FFs and NSs) you'll lose 12 poison shots and 1 Blaster, but will gain 3 Lances and another powerful Turn 1 tool to help get stuff out on the field so your Wracks and Venoms can chew it up.

Personally the first 345pts of any list i write goes into ravagers w/ ff x 3. Only after that do i add the rest of the army. Its a mech world ya know. So with the remaining 665 pts i would run ir as such.

Ravs w/ ff and ns x 3

Wracks x 9
Liquifer
Raider w/ ff and ns
X2

Heamie w/ liquifer and venom blade
Heamie w/ shattershard, stinger pistol and venom blade

Warriors x 5
Blaster
Venom w/ ns and 2nd cannon

Kp=11
Scoring units=3
Lances=12

Been tallying up your list a few times and your not at 1000 points by my math, since with your original list is sitting at 970. I'd have to agree with Thor and would switch one Kabalite squad for a second Ravager, but would also suggest dropping the Nightshields and 3 Wracks in total to add a 3 man Reaver Jetbike unit with 1 Heat Lance which would make the list appear as:

* 01 Haemonculus - Liquifier Gun, Venom Blade = 65
* 01 Haemonculus - Liquifier Gun, Venom Blade = 65

* 05 Kabalite Warriors - Blaster; Venom - Splinter Cannons = 125
* 05 Kabalite Warriors - Blaster; Venom - Splinter Cannons = 125
* 07 Wracks - Liquifier Gun; Raider - Flickerfield = 150
* 08 Wracks - Liquifier Gun; Raider - Flickerfield = 160

* 03 Reaver Jetbikes - Heat Lance = 78

* 01 Ravager - Flickerfield = 115
* 01 Ravager - Flickerfield = 115

The Reavers give you more options as they can shoot infranty with the Splinter Rifles on the bikes as well as use the Heat Lance against vechicles. as well as a distractive, throw away but deadly unit that would work alongside your other forces
