Do dark eldar poison weapons get re roll to wound vs T3. weapons marked x hav a str of 3 if your str is equal to or more then the toughness of what your shooting or hitting with a poisened weapon then you get re roll to wound. So this would mean that they do re roll to wounfd right.

I can not find a rule that says str x is 3. Closest I could find is sniper rifles count as str 3 when fired at vehicles.

If there is a rule str x is 3, then our poisoned weapons would re-roll vs t3 or less(there use to be some rarely seen t2, not sure if any are left in this edition). I think they don't re-roll, since x mean no str, not str 3. Poisoned melee weapons do for sure re-roll vs t3.

If you found a rule I missed, I'll do a happy dance for all the extra 'gaunts and guard my splinters will kill though. Please post a page number if you find it. Very Happy

Nope - there is nothing to suggest the splinter weapons are S3

Massaen is right, there is no S to our poison weapons. Sadly that means no re-rolls, no chance of hurting armor. The only reason wracks get it is because their profile comes with a strength value.

Actually, there is. I dont have my codex handy but I think its on the same pages as the 'power from pain' stuff. It talks about str 3 vs vehicles.

On page 25 of the new dark eldar codex it states that poisoned shooting attacks have no strength value, but always wound on a fixed number. If they where s3 I would be a very happy elf when it came to mowing down my Friends guard swarm. Smile

It's not like we have issues killing T3 models though - Wyches, Venoms, Kabalite Warriors rapid firing, Liquifiers, we have lots of very solid tools to eat them up.

To further clarify it also states in the codex that Dark Eldar poisoned shooting weapons cannot damage vehicles (Dark Eldar Codex, 5th edition, Warhammer 40,000, pg 25, Subheading 'Poisoned Shooting Weapons').

It IS truly superior.

S3 reroll only in Close Combat, all our ranged poisoned weapons dont have strenght value.

Azdrubael is quite correct. If you read the Poisoned Weapons entry in the Main Rulebook, you will see that if the strength of the wielder is equal to or higher that the toughness of the target, you may re-roll the "to wound" roll in close combat.

Unfortunately none of our 'ranged' poisoned weapons got S value. Codex SM got FAQ for their poisoned ranged weapons, and in FAQ most of them got S1 BUT we didn't recieve this kind of blessing from GW...and it seems we won't
