My army is missing a main ingredient

The list I run at the moment in 1500 point games is missing a troop choice and I don't know what I should get. So far the army is quite optimized but to get a second troop I will need to drop something at this point level. What should I do to keep my raid running like a well oiled machine and prevent all the other Archons from realizing I have no clue what I am doing lol.

HQ- Vercie Vaulkhere-130
Archon with Agoniser, Ghost plate, Shadow field & Combat drugs.

Elites- Blaster Born- 190
4 trueborn with blasters and a dracon
In a venom with two splinter cannons.

Elites- Splinter Born- 165
4 trueborn and a dracon sporting 3 shard carbines and 2 splinter cannons.
In a venom with two splinter cannons.

Troops- Maidens malevolent- 200
9 wyches with a hekatrix armed with phantasm grenades and a power weapon
in a raider with flicker, enhanced sails & a shock prow.

Fast- The Murder- 274
10 scourges with two haywire blasters, two heat lances & a solorite.

Fast- Wild Riders- 78
3 Reavers with a heat lance

Heavy- Iron Breaker - 115
a Ravager with flicker

Heavy-Iron Breaker - 115
a Ravager with flicker

Heavy- Blade flight- 165
Razorwing with dissies a splinter cannon and flicker

The first place to save some points is i would split the scourges into two units and lose the solorite.
Next place i would go is to drop the dracon from the tb and just make it 2&2
If your wyches are gettign charged your doing something wrong. lose the PGL there
As strange as it may sound VB > PW (4+ to hit 5+ to wound vs 4+ to hit 2+ to wound, MEQs go done from saturation)
Without losing two much effectiveness you could go to 3 Blasterborn
Sails and prow on the wychs' raider are nice but not necessary

and this is more a personal thing - drop the reavers

not sure how much that all saves you but its where i would start

All very good suggestions. I am a little fuzzy on your idea about my Dracons.

So would you suggest a second unit of wyches then? And perhaps my Archon in a venom with some Incubi or blood brides?

i actually didnt see the dracon in the blaster born. i was talking about the splinter born unit.

a 2nd unit of wychs is a good idea but at that rate i would almost be tempted to take duke and throw him in the splinterborn.

I to settle on an HQ/Troop combo

I need two troops and a HQ
Wyches/Wyches + Archon as HQ
Wyches/Wyches + 2 Hemonculi as HQ
Wyches/Wrcks + Hemonculi as HQ
Wyches/Hellions + Baron as HQ

*I do not want warriors; I really really dislike rapid fire weapons.

I am struggling to decide what one to invest in. I am not willing to spend A lot of money so the choice has to be good.

I will make up a list with that and see how it goes. I am also thinking if I take my true born in my raider I can run my wyches in the venom's.That way I wont need to spend any money. Smile
