I suck as priming and need advice

priming is the bane of my existence.. some how i either manage to like completely miss half the model, or i just end up holding the base and priming half my hand to get it right.

I was working on the raider which i was going to use as the defining model for the army. With a base coat of white it was going to be this beautiful master piece. I was priming it and managed to over spray it. I some how got the idea to try and wipe the extra off. Needless to say that one half of the model looks beautiful and the other is total trash. Any ideas how i can repair it? If need be i can take a picture to show the extent of the retardation i caused.

You just have to clean it and do it over.

I remember how to prime without an airbrush with a shiver, not very accurate process.

You might want to find optimal distance when using spray and try to prime in several thin layers, that way you have more control. Also dont hold spray on a single spot use X movements, or the resulting layer will be to thick and ugly.

Simple green max works well. I would try using a damp sponge and wetting the surface to the simple green can get at the primer, and then use a good stiff toothbrush to scrub off the offending area.

Don't dunk the model in it, or you will have to redo the entire thing.

If you have any ridges, apply some GW clear coat to help the rough edges before you prime again.

But yes, it is going to be a bit of a pain.

No the entire thing is completely messed up.

If you have a house ware store or dept in your local area, a small spray bottle and simple green sprayed on would probably also work.
