The Monthly Vow - June - make a promise and keep it!

The best way to get your models done is to tell everyone about it.

Make a pledge!

For the month of june i vow to build and paint 5 warriors and three trueborn.
I will also paint a Ravager...

Paint a Ravager and 7 Incubi!

I vow to completely assemble and base at the minimum:
-2 ten model strong Wych units ( I just finished one squad today. Lucky me.)
-2 ten model strong warrior units
-2 Raiders
-2 Venoms

I will not be doing painting yet. So bugger off.

Before the end of june, I will finish everything I have bought yet (Archon and 8 warriors).

For June, I threaten to assemble and paint my 15 new Scourges, plus my Sekret Santa Kabalite Warrior.

For June I will be moving into my new house - which no doubt means plenty of DIY etc and no gaming or modelling.

However, I will try and build my new purchases of - Venom, Hellions, Scorges and razorwing.... when they arrive.

For June:

Finish the Raider, the Warriors and the Archon.
Acquire Battleforce and one or more Venoms.

I'm gonna go take my happy pills in preparation. Bye-bye.

For June,

I will finish painting the following:

-2x Warrior Raiders (They are 75% done now)
-20x Warriors (They are 50% done now)
-10x Hellions (They are 75% done now)
-1x Venom (In the mail)


I will Build the following:
-1x Talos (In the mail)
-4x Grotesques (Scratch building these)


Yup, that seems like enough for now...

I don't do vows or promises, mainly because I can't keep them. But.... I will discuss what I plan to do....

By the end of June....

Build a Talos - COMPLETED
Build a Razorwing
Build some Scourges
Revamp Trueborn using pieces from new kits
Start on objective markers
Add more pain tokens
Finish Duke
Start Baron
Pimp and crew Venoms
Look at bases.

It is a personal target to get my army ready for painting at the end of June, here's hoping...

For june, I aim to assemble:

5x warriors
5x wyches
5x incubi
5x hellions.

If I get any more done it will be a bonus

I'll commit to finishing the "test models" for my army paint scheme. For a full on task I'd like to finish a single squad and one of the new venoms by the end of the month of June. Most importantly I'd like to sort out my camera and post my WIPs and some completed models on dark city for comments and criticism.

I'll finish painting my ravagers.

For june i intend to paint two venoms, make my mini/duel diorama with two warriors, i also intend to finish of the bases of my kabalite warriors. O and i will also finish my harlequin troup master.
So i said it!

SHAZAAM finished painting all my Ravagers! I'm ahead of the game.

Sadly, I have to report that while I was successful in completing Kabalite Ken for the warrior swap, I failed with my Scourges. I have 5 of the new ones painted, but the rest are awaiting delivery of their bat-wings thanks to a) the Canadian postal strike and b) Hoard O' Bits taking a while to get new stock.

On the flip side, while I was waiting for my bat-wings, my stairs now have a gorgeous new hardwood finish instead of the miserable old carpet. Does that count for anything?

I can report that I have indeed painted my Archon and my first group of Kabalite warriors, just as I said I would.

I'll try to get pictures up today, or else tomorrow, and fail my vow.

I can make my vow of July slightly early - I will paint three Incubi, four Scourges, a raider and a Razorwing Jetfighter.

July Vow:

4 Warriors
4 Incubi
1 Venom


And if I'm lucky: 1 Talos

My vow:

Build "Flyer" prototype (note that some parts would be interchangeable, so it would not be 100% complete model until cast it.).

Also finish Venom... I mean "Bladewing" prototype in occasion (it appears that I can use it as VR cockpit).

And "Warbarque" master. At least main body.

Build Archon with interchangeable weapons (probably Djin+Blaster and some other combo). [edit] Actually screw it. She would have fixed Blaster + Sword (green PW that may act as Venom Blade, PW or Djin) + pistol in holster

Finish "Industrial" game board (ie. 6x 30x60cm and 2 60x90cm pieces) and some terrain.

Start "Crystal" board.

And if Imperial stuff count, then 3 "Rifleman" Dreads and few "Furioso/Venerable/Ironclad" ones.
[edit] not sure how many of those. I'm ex hardcore Starsiege player, so probably more than 3.

I wasn't able to complete my vows. Life and time prevented this. Shameful, I know.

I hereby pledge to:

Finish the last 2 Warriors of my first squad
Paint a second squad of 10 Warriors

Start making terrain for a 6'x4' board (atleast cut it all out and have it ready for painting)
